Valentine's Brunch at The Melting Pot~ Turtle Cheesecake Fondue

I celebrated Valentine's Day a little early with a decadent brunch at The Melting Pot and then a matinee of "Just Go With It". Since I'm sure to be crazy busy at work tomorrow, on actual Vday, we thought celebrating early would be nice and certainly less crowded and busy.

If you haven't tried The Melting Pot you have no idea what you are missing! It's a fondue restaurant with a one of a kind menu. I will say that they are expensive and we usually dine here once or twice a year on special occasions. Here's a thrifty tip: go to your favorite restaurant for lunch or brunch instead of dinner. That's what we did and we enjoyed the same special Vday dinner menu at brunch for $46 less! Check out the restaurant's website for locations and join Club Fondue for coupons: http://www.meltingpot.com/

Decadent Turtle Cheesecake Fondue

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 4 ounces cubed softened Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup caramel ice cream topping

Directions

  1. Pour chocolate in a bowl and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds.
  2. Stir and heat again until mostly melted. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.
  3. Pour chocolate, caramel, pecans, and cream cheese into a electric fondue pot on med heat.
  4. If you don't have an electric fondue pot simply warm in a saucepan on med-low.
  5. Once ingredients are melted together set your fondue pot to warm.
  6. Serve with your favorite dippers (I like strawberries and pineapple) and enjoy!
Also check out the Love Martini recipe here.
Every table has a burner in the middle of the table to cook your fondue.
You have a server that prepares all the fondue for you tableside and brings your
dippers and sauces. All you have to do is cook your food in the hot fondue and enjoy!
