Blood Orange Spooky Slush Punch

This spooky slush punch is citrus flavored and blood red- perfect for serving at Halloween parties! It is made with new Organic Stevia In The Raw®, a zero-calorie sweetener that adds a delicious sweet taste to this fun drink! 
 As a fan of the original Sugar In The Raw products, I was excited to find new Organic Stevia In The Raw available at my local grocery store! I love the convenient packets for sweetening my morning cup of coffee or adding to my bowl of cereal or sliced fruit. Each packet is only three calories, but provides the sweetening equivalence of two teaspoons of sugar (which contains 32 calories)! 

I decided to try using Organic Stevia In The Raw for this punch recipe and the end result was perfectly sweetened and spooky- just like I wanted it!

Ingredients: 

  • 3/4 cup Organic Stevia In The Raw
  • 3oz box orange flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup fresh squeeze blood orange juice {about 6-7 oranges}
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 liter ginger ale soda
  • 1 blood orange, sliced for garnish

Directions: 

  1. In a medium boil add orange gelatin mix and boiling water. 
  2. Whisk to combine then add Organic Stevia In The Raw and stir to dissolve.
  3. Now pour into a large freezable bowl and add 4 cups cold water and 1 cup of blood orange juice. 
  4. Place in the freezer overnight.
  5. The next day remove from the freezer and set out for about an hour to defrost.
  6. Stir and break up the icy mixture with a fork then scoop into a large pitcher.
  7. Pour ginger ale on top and add blood orange slices to the punch and cups as garnish. 
  8. Serve right away and enjoy!
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.

 Time to add the fun part- blood oranges!
I like fresh squeezed but you can also use bottled juice.

 I squeezed 6 oranges to get 1 cup of juice!
 Looks like a gory mess, right?!
The perfect Halloween fruit!

 Add the blood orange juice to the bowl.
 Stir well and then place in the freezer overnight.
The next day remove from the freezer and set out for about an hour to defrost.
 Stir and break up the icy mixture with a fork.
 Then scoop into a large pitcher.
Pour ginger ale on top.
 Add blood orange slices to the punch and cups as garnish. 
 Serve right away and enjoy!
