Lucky in Love Chocolate Shamrock Shakes

Happy Movie Monday, friends!
This month's theme is Lucky movies so I chose one of my favorite romantic flicks, P.S. I Love You. This movie is all about being lucky in love and is set in Ireland so it fit the theme perfectly. In honor of this lucky movie I created these Lucky in Love Chocolate Shamrock Shakes.
These delicious Shamrock Shakes are a blend of chocolate milkshake and green mint shake. Perfect for sharing with your lucky loved ones on movie night.
These goofballs loved the milkshakes so much they didn't even save me a sip!
On the last (or fourth) Monday of each month, a group of bloggers participate in a #MovieMondayChallenge, hosted by C'mon Get Crafty! We decide on a topic, genre, or specific movie to use for inspiration and everyone gets free reign to create something wonderful!

This month's challenge was. . . . "LUCK! Everyone was allowed to choose their own favorite film so long as it was inspired by the challenge word. I chose one of my favorites, set in Ireland: P.S. I Love You. You will adore my Lucky in Love Shamrock Shake inspired by the movie!
Now let's see what everyone else was inspired to create for this month's #MovieMondayChallenge!! If you'd like to join our Facebook group, you can request an invite here.

Family Fun at Cirque Italia in San Antonio

Last weekend my family and I had the pleasure of attending our first circus together. But this wasn't just any circus, y'all! It was a water circus called Cirque Italia and it was awe inspiring! Every performance was better than the last and we had a great time together from start to finish.
My children seriously sat and watched with their mouths hanging wide open {OK, I did too}. The stunts were nail biting -but in a good way- and we all had a different favorite performance! Check out my photos below and be sure to visit www.cirqueitalia.com to see when Cirque Italia will be in your town next!

Mardi Gras King Cake Latte

Just in time for Fat Tuesday : King Cake Latte.
I love all thing's King Cake flavor so naturally I had to make a festive latte to celebrate Mardi Gras!
This King Cake Latte has the flavors of a traditional king cake: brown sugar, cinnamon and caramel, and is the perfect drink for sippin' on a cold February morning like today!
The first time I tried this delicious coffee drink was at one of my favorite sweet shops in our little town in Louisiana, Sweet Thing. She makes the best macrons, cookies, dessert bars, and of course, lattes. Every year during Mardi Gras season she makes my favorite King Cake Latte and I decided to recreate it on the blog to enjoy all year long!
Ava and I love to share a treat at local cafes!
These cookies are almost too pretty to eat!

Chocoholic Peanut Butter Pie #FoodBloggerLove

This Chocoholic Peanut Butter Pie is the stuff dreams are made of! Homemade Oreo crust, smooth peanut butter filling, rich chocolate ganache, and finally decadent peanut butter cups sprinkled on top!
Today I am participating in a fun event with the #FoodBloggerLove group. We are doing a Valentine's Day post swap with another blogger. I was assigned to show some blogger love to Nichole from Cookaholic Wife. Nichole lives by the motto cook, bake, enjoy. We are both fans of making lists and being beach bums and we also love dessert especially peanut butter and chocolate! So I created this Chocoholic Peanut Butter Pie inspired by Nichole's Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge {and with a play on her blog name :wink, wink:}.
Check out the recipe below and be sure to visit the other bloggers #FoodBloggerLove posts in the link up!

Red Velvet Neapolitan Latte

Neapolitan ice cream is a flavor created by stacking three classic flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream. This Red Velvet Neapolitan Latte is inspired by Neapolitan ice cream but flavored with delicious red velvet syrup!
Enjoy it year round but it is extra special served on the holidays!

  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee {or espresso}
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 oz {2 tbsp} Red Velvet Flavoring Syrup {I used Torani brand}

  1. Heat milk for one minute in the microwave, then froth milk {or shake in a sealed jar}.
  2. Pour milk into a large mug.
  3. Now slowly add syrup down the side of the mug so it drizzles to the bottom.
  4. Now gently stir and you will see the bottom half of the milk turns pink.
  5. Now slowly pour in your hot coffee right in the center.
  6. Once you have added all the coffee smooth over the white frothy milk top.
  7. Drink you and enjoy your Valentine's beverage!

Torani is a favorite in our home and this red velvet cake syrup is ah-mazing!
I knew I had to use it to make a Valentine's themed coffee right away.

Brew 1/2 cup of strong coffee or espresso.
Heat milk for one minute in the microwave, then froth milk.
You can also shake in a sealed mason jar to make it frothy.

Pour milk into a large mug.
Now slowly add syrup down the side of the mug so it drizzles down to the bottom.
Now gently stir and you will see the bottom half of the milk turns pink.
Now slowly pour in your hot coffee right in the center.
Now you have another layer to your drink!
Once you have added all the coffee smooth over the white frothy milk top.

Drink up and enjoy!

40 Sweet and Savory Heart Shaped Valentine's Dishes

It's Valentine's Week and I can hardly stand it! Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays and now it is even more special since I am a Mom. My girls love to bake and make gifts just like I do, so we go all out every year! This year, since we are in a new city, we are not having a party and doing as much baking. But we do have plans for a Valentine's Day tea and lunch with friends! One of my favorite things to do every year for my Valentine's themed dishes is make them festive and heart shaped, so I thought I would share 40 - both savory and sweet - Heart Shaped Valentine's Dishes today. Aren't they all too cute for words?!

Cheeseburger and Fries Pizza

Happy National Pizza Day!

I have teamed up with Table5 Pizza to create a delicious topping for their handmade artisanal cornmeal crust pizzas. I decided to combined two of my kiddos favorite foods- cheeseburgers and pizza. Then to make it extra ah-mazing I added thick cut steak fries and homemade fry sauce on top of the cheesy pizza! Let's just say there were no leftovers of this Cheeseburger and Fries Pizza at dinnertime!
Table5 offers a fresh and healthy take on a familiar favorite. Their handmade artisanal pizzas are created in small batches {in a kitchen, not a factory} using simple and fresh top-quality ingredients. They offer distinctive cornmeal crust pizzas topped with bold and original flavors that taste both familiar and new—all-natural pizzas to enjoy with the whole family and friends.
