Lucky Charms Golden Popcorn

This shimmering gold popcorn is tossed with Lucky Charms cereal and drizzled in green chocolate. It is a crunchy and sweet snack, perfect for making with the kiddos on St Paddy's Day!
Ava loved helping me make this fun treat {and sampling it too}!

Ingredients:

  • 1 package{approx 10 cups}microwave kettle corn, popped
  • 2-3 cups Lucky Charms cereal
  • 1/2 cup Lucky Charms marshmallows only
  • 2 oz green candy melts pouch
  • 2 tbsp shamrock sprinkles, optional
  • 1.5 oz can gold color mist spray

Directions:

  1. Spread popped popcorn out on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  2. Spray generously with gold food color spray.
  3. Let the color dry on the popcorn.
  4. In a large bowl add Lucky Charms cereal {I add 2 to 3 cups} and an additional 1/2 cup of just Lucky Charms marshmallows.
  5. Sprinkle all over the popcorn.
  6. Next, heat candy melt pouch in the microwave, usually for 1 minute on 50% power, until melted. Drizzle all over the popcorn mix.
  7. Sprinkle on shamrock sprinkles if you'd like.
  8. Scoop into baggies or a sealed container or dig in right away!
