Grilled Teriyaki Duck Kabobs #CookoutWeek

Today is the last day of CookoutWeek and we went all out with a delicious grilled meal last night!
On the menu: Grilled Teriyaki Duck Kabobs with brown rice, steamed broccoli, and leftover Peach Cobbler for dessert!
These flavorful duck kabobs are made with tender Maple Leaf Farms duck breasts, fresh pineapple, sweet onion, and crunchy peppers and glazed with a sweet teriyaki sauce. Check out the recipe below!
Maple Leaf Farms is a fourth generation family-owned poultry company. This year they are celebrating their 60th anniversary. I have cooked their duck products for years, my favorite being their roasted half duck and duck bacon! Today I have teamed up with them for CookoutWeek to make my family's favorite, Grilled Teriyaki Duck Kabobs .

Crispy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings #CookoutWeek

Chicken Wings might be my very favorite food {that's right even more than sushi!}. I love all kinds and the messier the better in my opinion. Since we are in the middle of CookoutWeek I thought I would share one of the best wing recipes with y'all, my Crispy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

These finger lickin' good wings are baked then finished off on the grill. Finally I toss them in my favorite Chef Shamy Garlic Butter and Parmesan cheese for a flavor that will knock your socks off!

  • 4lbs chicken wings, thawed
  • 1 1/2 cups {1/2 container} Chef Shamy Garlic Butter
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper, to taste

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease two large baking sheets.
  3.   Rinse and then dry the chicken wings thoroughly with paper towels.
  4.  Spread the wings in a single layer on the two baking sheets.
  5. Season with salt and pepper all over.
  6. Bake the wings until browned and crispy, about 45 minutes.
  7. I like to get a nice crunch to them so I toss them on the grill for 5 minutes after baking. You can also broil them.
  8. While the wings are grilling, add the Garlic Butter to a small saucepan over low heat and melt until smooth.
  9. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Remove from heat.
  10. When the wings are done, transfer them to a large, heatproof bowl.
  11. Pour the warm sauce over the wings and gently toss to coat.
  12. Serve warm with lots of napkins!
Rinse and then dry the chicken wings thoroughly. Spread the wings in a

Season with salt and pepper all over.
Bake the wings until browned and crispy, about 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Now time for the buter sauce!
While the wings are grilling, add the Garlic Butter to a small saucepan.
Cook over low heat and melt until smooth.
Stir in Parmesan cheese. Remove from heat.
When the wings are done, transfer them to a large, heatproof bowl.
Pour the warm sauce over the wings.
Gently toss to coat.

Tossing in my favorite Chef Shamy Garlic Butter and Parmesan cheese gives these wings
a flavor that will knock your socks off!

Chef Salad on a Stick

I love fun food and what is more fun than food on a stick, right? We enjoyed dinner on the patio tonight and I made a platter of Chef Salad on a Stick skewers for us to eat. They were simple to make and tasted great- even my toddler was excited to eat salad, y'all! Serve with a side of dressing for dipping and enjoy!

In honor of Buddig's 75th Anniversary they are having a #ThankYouMealMaker video contest. I made this fun dish, Chef Salad on a Stick, inspired by my Meal Makers, my parents, who always made fun food for me to try growing up!

Sunrise Smoothie for Lactation Support

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of 1 Natural Way, a TRICARE breast pump provider. All opinions are entirely my own.
As a Mom of two I know mornings are rough. Getting everyone up and ready and where they need to be on time has always been a struggle for me. Smoothies are my go to on these hectic days when I need something healthy, filling, and fast. This Sunrise Smoothie is made with my favorite juice, yogurt, and frozen fruit with added flax seed and Brewer's yeast for the wonderful health benefits including increasing your milk supply and helping with digestion for nursing Mamas like me.

I breastfed both my babies for 18 months {Ava} and 26 months {Stella} and I cherish that sweet time together and bond we have. I drank Mama milk tea and made lactation cookies and smoothies often to help increase my milk supply. Whether you are a nursing Mama or not, this delicious smoothie is packed full with good for you ingredients to help you start your day right!

Also check out this recipe: Chocolate Peanut Butter Lactation Cookies .
My little helper, Ava loves smoothies as much as I do and she helped me prepare this Sunrise Smoothie today to start our morning. Scroll down for the recipe and to learn more about 1 Natural Way and how you can receive a breast pump for FREE just like me through your Tricare insurance.

Since we are on the topic of breastfeeding, I have a fantastic company that helped me, as a pregnant military spouse, by providing a Tricare Breast Pump with all the bells and whistles when I needed it the most.
1 Natural Way helps moms provide breast milk to their babies through products, education, and service.
They offer a variety of products including Breast Pumps, Compression Socks, Medela Accessories, and Spectra Accessories for pregnant and new Moms. If you are a military family like me, you can get all of these items from free through Tricare!
