40+ Nacho Average Nacho Recipes

To me Nachos are the ultimate messy but good game day food. And the awesome thing about nachos is you can get as creative as you want with them! Just about any meat, sauce, cheese, veggie, and spice can be added to nachos and it will be a winner. You can also think outside of the box and use a different base instead of regular tortilla chips. Think potato slices, kettle chips, tater tots, even dessert nachos with apples! Check out this list of 40+ 'Nacho Average' Nacho Recipes for creative nacho ideas to make for your next game day gathering or tailgating party.

Loaded Buffalo Chicken Nachos

Two of my favorite appetizers are buffalo chicken wings and loaded nachos. So it made since for this year's Superbowl Sunday that I combine them and make the ultimate game day appetizer- Loaded Buffalo Chicken Nachos ! I use crunchy kettle chips and top them with homemade creamy blue cheese sauce, chicken tenders tossed in spicy buffalo sauce, and onions and blue cheese crumbles on top! Serve this messy but good snack to your football foodie friends and family this weekend!

Turkey Veggie Chili | Panera Bread Copycat Recipe

One of my favorite spots to spend some me time is my local Panera Bread restaurant. It's cozy and {sometimes} quiet, I get a hot cup of tea and big bread bowl of soup and I am one happy lady! Lately I have been hooked on their hearty Turkey Veggie Chili. It is perfect for cold days and fills me right up. I took my girls the other day for lunch and to my surprise they gobbled up a bowl of it too! So I knew I had to recreate this delicious chili at home for dinner.
To make it even easier I made it in my Crock-Pot!
Panera describes their Veggie Turkey Chili on their menu as "a hearty blend of dark meat turkey...and tender beans, slow cooked with veggies and spices". I used all the beans and veggies from their ingredient list except I subbed lima beans for edamame. I used a traditional chili spice {with or without cayenne or chipotle for heat} and I was surprised at how similar it was to the original! My kiddos loved it and I was happy they were eating all those good for you veggies and beans! Check out the recipe below and let me know what you think!

3 Ingredient Crock-Pot Roasted Turkey

Christmas dinner was a breeze this year with this 3 Ingredient Crock-Pot Roasted Turkey. It is my go to family dinner recipe now when we are entertaining! I seasoned ours with barbecue seasoning and cooked it all day until it was fall off the bone tender. Bonus: even after dinner we had enough leftovers for lunch and dinner the next day, so I added it to Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwiches and a hearty casserole.

Paula Deen's Green Bean Casserole

If you have read my bio or followed this blog for a while, you know I am a huge fan of Mrs Paula Deen. She was my inspiration for starting my blog and continues to inspire me as a foodie. When I lived in San Antonio last year I was lucky enough to attend the grand opening of her restaurant Paula Deen's Family Kitchen. Paula and her husband Michael attended the ribbon cutting and I was finally able to meet my mentor.
I will share photos and a review from the restaurant later this month but until then check out this delicious Green Bean Casserole recipe from Paula.
Meeting Paula Deen in 2018 in San Antonio, TX.
Stay tuned for a restaurant review of Paula Deen's Family Kitchen.
We dined there 4 times before we moved!
Lucky me- they are opening one in nearby Branson, MO this year so I can visit again.
