<div style="text-align: center;">When I think of boxtys, which are breaded and fried mashed potato balls, I think of fun, messy but good, party food. These boxtys are inspired by one of my favorite Southern recipes: the <b>Kentucky Hot Brown sandwich</b>. I start with my homemade Parmesan garlic mashed potatoes and add roasted turkey breast and bacon. Serve these hot and crisp boxtys with a side of white cheddar sauce garnished with chives and tomato.<br />

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #274e13; font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">I was so excited for this week b/c I knew I wanted to make one of my favorite appetizers, <strong>Irish Boxtys</strong>.</span></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #274e13; font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">&nbsp;In college I waited tables at a world famous (seriously!) Irish pub and steakhouse in Pensacola, FL called McGuire&#8217;s.&nbsp;</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="color: black; font-size: medium;"><a href="http://www.mcguiresirishpub.com/">www.mcguiresirishpub.com</a></span><span style="color: #274e13; font-size: medium;"><span style="color: black;">&nbsp;</span></span></span></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="color: #274e13; font-size: medium;">To this day I still think Mcguire&#8217;s&nbsp;has the best burgers, prime rib, and pork chops&nbsp;that I have EVER had. Oh, and their <a href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/2013/09/mcguires-irish-pub-sunday-brunch-and.html">Frozen Irish Coffee</a> is AH-MAZING! Man, now I wish I was back home!</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #274e13; font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">They have an knock out appetizer called <strong>Irish Boxtys</strong>. They are garlic mashed potatoes rolled in seasoned bread crumbs then flash fried and served warm with dipping sauces. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #274e13; font-family: inherit;">&nbsp;</span><span style="color: #274e13; font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">I recreated this easy dish for St Patty&#8217;s Day. C</span><span style="color: #274e13; font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">heck out the recipe below!</span></div>
