<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This Christmas season seemed more hectic than the past years. Maybe because I had a trip to plan and pack for or maybe because this year I had a toddler and a preschooler running around. Or maybe the holidays in general seem to just be busy and hectic always. But no matter how busy it gets, I always make time for those special traditions and moments with my family, especially my two girls.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1483-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1483-682x1024.jpg" width="305" height="458" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">&nbsp; One of my favorite Christmas activities is baking cookies and treats with Ava and Stella. This year to save time we used a boxed gingerbread cookie mix and a silicone gingerbread man baking mold to make&nbsp;<b>Gingerbread Reindeer Cake Cookies </b>for our friends and family. The girls especially loved decorating the gingerbread cookies to look like reindeer faces!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Check out the directions below ans I hope you enjoy making them as much as we did!</div>

<p style="text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" style="border: 0pt none;" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/fork-11.png" align="center"></p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1475-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I used this Krusteaz brand gingerbread cookie mix for this recipe. &nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1476-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1476-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Prepare cookie mix according to package. Mine required butter and eggs.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1477-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1477-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I used these silcone Gingerbread men treat molds for these cake cookies. They made them have a soft cake texture with a crispy cookie edge. I found this mold around Christmas time at Michael&#8217;s.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1485-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1485-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Push cookie dough mixture into the molds, filling completely.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1488-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1488-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Push down to make sure all parts of the molds are filled.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">You can also use an 8×8 pan and a gingerbread mini cookie cutter but you will not get the same cake like texture.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1494-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1494-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Once the cookies are baked according to the package instructions (usually 7-10 mins at 350 degrees) let them cool completely then it&#8217;s time to decorate.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1495-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1495-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1496-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_1496-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">To decorate flip the gingerbread men over so you have a reindeer face. Add two dots side by side on top for the eyes then one large dot in the middle for the nose and then draw a mouth underneath with the black frosting. Press two candy eyes on top of the two dots of frosting then add a red or brown M&amp;M candy in the center for the eyes. You an also draw additional lines with the black frosting to outline the antlers .</div>
