<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We woke up this morning to another beautiful <b>SNOW DAY</b>!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I am truly lovin&#8217; the peaceful blanket of snow covering our neighborhood, but I may be going a <i>little</i> stir crazy! This time last year we were in Texas and it was HOT, y&#8217;all! Like tank tops and flip flop weather! So besides our typical movies and board games, I decided to stock up on snow themed library books to read with my girls.&nbsp;</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/20190122_181327-768x1024.jpg" width="300" height="400" border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200"></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">&nbsp; One that the girls and I really enjoyed was called <i>Cold Snap</i>. It includes a recipe for <b>Snow Candy</b> so we decided we had to make our own. It was soooo good.&nbsp;</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">All you need is snow and hot maple syrup and you can make this tasty winter treat too!</div>

<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is a recipe you can all share out of one larger bowl&nbsp;</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We got more snow than we EVER have before so we made a big bowl of our family favorite:&nbsp; <b>Snow Ice Cream</b>! This time we made strawberry flavored and it was the best yet!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Also check out my <a href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/2019/01/easy-snow-ice-cream-two-ways-chocolate.html">Vanilla and Chocolate Snow Ice Cream</a> recipes if you want to try different flavors.</div>
<p><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2296-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2296-682x1024.jpg" width="305" height="458" border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067"></a><br />
Prep your ingredients {you only need a few} and chill your bowl beforehand. Then all you need is fresh snow and you can make this easy winter dessert in minutes!<br />
<a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_20190219_112425_782-1024x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_20190219_112425_782-1024x1024.jpg" width="320" height="320" border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600"></a><br />
We got lucky and had not one but two full snow days last week. This was the most snow we have gotten since moving to Missouri in October and we loved it. Funny how everyone here is so &#8220;over&#8221; the snow and my girls and I are crossing our fingers for more! Their Dad was home and along with our sweet pup Dylan we made snow men, painted snow, and went sledding. It was a blast!</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/20190217_132918-01-768x1024.jpeg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/20190217_132918-01-768x1024.jpeg" width="240" height="320" border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200"></a></div>
<p>Our snowman, Mr Tie Dye, was our biggest -and most colorful- yet!</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_20190215_182702_675-1024x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_20190215_182702_675-1024x1024.jpg" width="320" height="320" border="0" data-original-height="1564" data-original-width="1564"></a></div>
<p>I found these snow paint kits last week at Goodwill for $1!<br />
The girls loved them {although the red paint did end up looking like a crime scene on the snow}.</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_20190218_010107_778-1024x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_20190218_010107_778-1024x1024.jpg" width="320" height="320" border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600"></a></div>
<p>Dylan dog looking handsome in the snow. He is Florida born like me so he is not super excited about the cold wet stuff but he will sniff around and chase the girls on the sled for a bit.<br />
Then he&#8217;s ready to lay by the fire inside!</p>

<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter" style="border: 0pt none;" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/fork-6.png" align="center"></p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2297-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2297-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Start with a big bowl of fluffy fresh snow. I leave a large bowl on our patio table when it starts to snow then bring it inside when we are ready to mix up some snow ice cream.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2298-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2298-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">You will need a large chilled mixing bowl to add your ingredients too.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Some recipes call for milk and sugar but I think it is easier {and tastes better} to use sweetened condensed milk.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2303-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2303-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Stir together condensed milk, vanilla, strawberry sauce, and diced strawberries.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Then start to add scoops of snow.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2307-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2307-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Stir gently until combined.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2308-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2308-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Continue adding as much snow as you need until you get the ice cream-like texture you want&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">{leave some chunks or it will be slushie}.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2306-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2306-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600"></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2312-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_2310-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067"></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Serve right away and enjoy.&nbsp;</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This recipe makes enough to feed a crowd {or a bunch of really hungry kiddos}.</div>
