<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My husband and daughter love to snack {ok we all do!} and it&#8217;s easy to grab the wrong types of foods to nibble on. Trust me, I love chocolate and chips as much as the next guy but I can&#8217;t splurge on those every day. I want to set a good example for my daughters and give them healthy options too. I have always had my toddler try everything at least once and because of this Ava&#8217;s favorite snacks are fruits, hummus, carrots, and crackers and she would probably choose these things over chips {but let&#8217;s not kid ourselves she would choose chocolate in a heartbeat if it was an option}. So I like to make simple, good for you snacks like muffins, granola bars, and trail mix for my family to grab on the go or eat when they are craving an afternoon snack. This <b>Tropical Trail Mix</b>&nbsp;is a tasty combo of tropical dried fruit, coconut, roasted macadamia nuts, and yogurt covered raisins. It tastes great, satisfies your craving for sweet and salty snacks, and you won&#8217;t have any guilt after eating it!&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here&#8217;s to a happy and healthy new year!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I found a few different tropical fruit mixes. I prefer the Wal-Mart brand which had raisins, banana chips, dried pineapple and papaya, and coconut strips. The other brand I found had kiwi, mango, cherries, and apricots. Mix and match if you want!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_3506-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_3506-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;Add dried tropical fruit to a medium bowl. I use about 1 1/4 cups.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_3507-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_3507-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;Now add 1/4 cup yogurt covered raisins.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_3508-831x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_3508-831x1024.jpg" width="259" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;I then add roasted chopped macadamia nuts.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">You could substitute almonds if you can&#8217;t find these.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_3514-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_3514-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;Pour into a container or a mason jar with a lid.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">This amount fills a pint size {16 ounce} mason jar.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_3527-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_3527-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;Healthy, delicious, and satisfies your snack craving.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Add to a mason jar or container, seal, and add a label.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This Tropical Trail Mix makes a great gift!</div>
