Caramelized French Onion Dip
Ingredients
2
Vidalia onions
sliced (I like bigger pieces but you can dice if you prefer)
8
oz
cream cheese spread
softened
2
cups
plain Greek yogurt
1
tbsp
Worcestershire
1/2
tsp
garlic powder
salt/black pepper
to taste
olive oil
for saute
Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a few swirls of olive oil.
Add sliced onions and saute stirring occasionally until golden brown and caramelized, about 25 minutes.
Remove onto a paper towel lined plate to cool. I also blot with a paper towel to remove excess oil.
While the onions are cooking, combine yogurt, cream cheese, Worcestershire, and garlic powder in a bowl.
Season with salt and cracked black pepper to taste.
Mix onions gently into dip.
Chill at least 1 hour or overnight for better flavor, prior to serving.
Serve with veggies, chips, or crackers and enjoy!
