Prepare your batter by following the directions on your pancake mix for making waffles. I used 1 cup mix combined with 1 egg, 2 tbsp oil, and 3/4 cup milk.
Let rest in the bowl for 5 minutes.
Separate your batter into five Ziploc bags fitted inside 5 cups.
Add gel food coloring and stir until blended. I used 5-6 different colors.
Spray the waffle maker with non stick spray.
Twist or seal the baggies then cut the tips off each bag.
Squeeze the colored batter in a squiggly pattern, one color at a time into the heated waffle maker..
Close your waffle maker and cook until the timer sounds.
Remove then repeat with remaining batter. Remember the longer you cook, the darker brown the waffles will get.
Cut each waffle in half and serve warm with whipped cream.
