Paula Deen's Green Bean Casserole

Makes 6-8 servings


  • 1/4 tsp Paula Deen's House Seasoning {3 parts salt to 1 part black pepper and garlic powder}
  • 1 2.8 oz can French-fried onion rings
  • 1 20 oz can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 32 oz container of chicken broth
  • 4 cups green beans sliced
  • 1 cup button mushrooms. sliced
  • 1/2 yellow onion diced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded


  • Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
  • Melt the butter in a large skillet.
  • Sauté the onions and mushrooms in the butter.
  • Boil green beans in chicken broth for 10 minutes and drain.
  • Add the green beans, mushroom soup, onion rings and seasoning to a large bowl and mix well.
  • Pour into a greased 8x8 baking dish.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, then top the casserole with cheese and bake for 10 minutes longer, or until the casserole is hot and cheese is melted.
