New Orleans Bananas Foster
Makes 2-4 servings, depending on size
Ingredients
2
bananas
peeled and sliced in half then lengthwise
1/2
cup
butter
1 stick
1/2
cup
brown sugar
1/4
cup
Rum
optional
1/4
tsp
cinnamon plus more for garnish
Vanilla
or go festive and try King Cake flavor ice cream, I used 4 scoops
Instructions
In a large skillet, add butter and brown sugar.
Stir until melted and bubbly.
Add rum then using a long lighter carefully light of fire to flambe and cook the rum.
When the flame cooks down add the sliced bananas and cinnamon. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Serve warm in bowls on top of ice cream.
