Slow Cooker Cinnamon Fried Apples


  • 2 lbs {6 medium} apples cored and sliced {I used Honeycrisp}
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp apple pie spice
  • 1 stick {1/2 cup} butter melted
  • 1/2 cup apple cider {or juice}


  • Core and slice apples, leaving the peel one.
  • Add the apples and cornstarch to a large bowl and toss to coat.
  • Next, add the cinnamon, apple pie spice, and brown sugar and mix well.
  • Pour into a slow cooker.
  • Finally, pour in melted butter and apple cider.
  • Cover and cook for 2 hours or until apples are tender and sauce is thickened.
  • Serve warm for dessert with a scoop of ice cream if you'd like!
