Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Stir and bring to a low boil then turn heat down to medium low.
Cook, stirring often, for 20-30 minutes until thickened and syrupy.
Pour the berry mixture through a strainer. You can discard the berries or use them for something else.
Serve warm over pancakes, French toast, and desserts or refrigerate and serve cold stirred into milk, shakes, tea, and coffee.
