We live in Pensacola and love McGuire’s! Their boxtys and shepherd’s pie are the things I dream about! Lol. Making your boxty recipe tomorrow for the Superbowl! 🙂

Hi,
This recipe is great for using leftover mashed potatoes (like from Thanksgiving). You can also buy a tub of premade mashed potatoes from the store. Usually in the refrigerated side dish section by the meat.
Homemade is my favorite though. Here is a good recipe for mashed potatoes: https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/manly-meat-potatoes/ . I add garlic cloves to my water when boiling and additional garlic powder or garlic butter
when mashing the cooked potatoes in a bowl.

I currently live in Pensacola and my first stop after everything is opened back up will be McGuires. I have a stupid question about the recipe, You have as one of the ingredients 16oz garlic mashed potatoes. Is this something you make, or is it a mix you buy? Where do you get them/how do you make them? Thanks
