<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Y&#8217;all know I have a sweet tooth but you may be surprised to know my favorite dessert isn&#8217;t chocolate or fried or even a baked treat but it&#8217;s classic Southern <b>Bananas Foster</b>! Even better, it&#8217;s simple to make at home too so I thought I would share my recipe for <b>Bananas Foster</b> today in honor of Mardi Gras and Fat Tuesday, since the recipe originated in New Orleans and is a Cajun favorite.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">Just a few simple ingredients are all you need to make this tasty Cajun dessert!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7NWUXNNZnmw/UxZhxR_B_qI/AAAAAAAAPsM/5ztOtQBzYlU/s1600/IMG_7894.JPG"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/IMG_7894-1024x682.jpg" width="403" height="268" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">For the bananas: peel, cut in half, and then cut in half again lengthwise.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VfeRf_vvh1Q/UxZhym6ZCII/AAAAAAAAPsU/3V_M8mK7F9g/s1600/IMG_7892.JPG"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/IMG_7892-1024x682.jpg" width="400" height="266" border="0"></a><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">Add 1/2 cup brown sugar and stir until melted and bubbly.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">Add rum then carefully light the liquid to flambe. Cook until fire is extinguished&nbsp;</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We celebrated Mardi Gras this year in Lake Charles at the Children&#8217;s Parade.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Ava loved the parade and had a bag full of loot by the end including beads, candy, and stuffed animals! My mom was visiting so she enjoyed the parade with us. What a great time we had!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp; One of my favorite Southern desserts is Bananas Foster so when I came across this recipe in my Melting Pot cookbook I knew I wanted to try it! So today I invited my friend, Molly over and after a healthy lunch of deli sandwiches we indulged in this chocolate caramel delight!&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">The best thing about dessert fondue is it only takes a few minutes to make. I simply melted white chocolate in the microwave and poured it over half a sliced banana in a fondue pot (or use a saucepan). Add caramel sauce, banana extract, and rum and it&#8217;s ready!&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">So easy, yet so impressive and mouth-wateringly delish!</div>
