This is a fun recipe to serve at family dinners, parties, and camping trips!

Walking Tacos aka Frito Pies are served right out of the chip bags and can be topped with a wide variety of delicious toppings.

My taco lovin’ kiddos got a kick out of this fun recipe. We have had Frito Pies before but letting them eat out of the bag and add their own topping definitely made it more fun and exciting for them. They even added healthy toppings they wouldn’t normally eat with chili like avocado and tomato because it was an interactive meal and they wanted to try it all!

I love making soups, stews, and chili at home all year long!
I came up with this hearty chili recipe when I was brainstorming pumpkin ideas. I decided to add ground bison since it is leaner than
beef but has a delicious rich flavor (and it’s my husband’s favorite!). To get
the sweet heat flavor I add chipotle chili powder to balance out the
sweetness of the pumpkin.
The end result, Pumped Up Sweet Heat Bison Chili,
is a thick and tasty chili that is packed full of flavor.

Even better, Bush’s Beans is hosting a Chili Cookoff Contest this month and since I love using their beans in my chili and soups {and I love a good cook-off} I knew I had to enter this recipe. It’s a winner in my book! Can’t wait to hear what you think about it!

My Montana raised foodie husband enjoys eating buffalo aka bison just like me.

I not only like the rich flavor but also it’s leaner and less greasy than beef.

Two of our local grocery stores here in Louisiana carry a few varieties of bison so I decided to switch it up and use ground bison for this chili instead of more traditional beef.

I have fond memories of attending college football games with my Dad as a little girl. We would drive the three hours to Tallahassee on a weekend and go to an FSU game together. Even though I had no clue about the rules of football, I still enjoyed going. The atmosphere, the food, the excitement, and of course spending time with my Dad made it something I always looked forward too.
These days, with two little ones at home, my husband and I don’t attend many sporting events. But we still enjoying watching the games at home and cooking fun game day food for our friends and family who join us. Maybe we don’t tailgate, but we Homegate instead!

Today I am sharing the ultimate game day appetizer for all you hungry sports fans out there: Homegating Chili Cheese Tater Tot Dip. I made this easy baked dip with Wolf Brand Chili, tater tots, and two types of cheeses. There are so many delicious treats and eats I can come up with using Wolf Brand Chili and all of ConAgra Foods brands! From nachos to chili potato skins or just simply a big bowl of hot chili with all the toppings! I am also a big fan of Manwich– check out my Turkey Sloppy Joe Cornbread Casserole. How about Hebrew National hot dogs? It wouldn’t be game day without a juicy hot dog, right? I am thinking Guacamole Dogs for next week’s game!
My tummy is already growling!

What game day recipe ideas do you have? Comment below and let me know.

My husband, Mr Montana Outdoors-man, was super excited when I brought home cans of Wolf Brand Chili from the store this week. Apparently it brought back teenage camping memories for him! He always packed a few cans of Wolf Brand Chili when he’d go on camping trips and he’d cook it in the can (remove the label first) right over the fire. Then he would wash the can and use it again in the morning for cooking an egg for breakfast. Then, of course, he took it one step further, and he would cut the can and roll it out to use as a plate! Mr Resourceful that man of mine!
At least he has good taste in chili, right?

Nothing is better, in my opinion, on a cold day or night than a hearty bowl of chili! To make it even easier, I cook it in my Crock-Pot. This veggie chili is packed with beans, garlic, peppers, onions, and carrots but I added sweet potatoes, chipotle powder, and cinnamon to top it off! Hearty and delicious with a little sweet and a little spicy kick. Bonus: the aroma in your kitchen while this cooks is mouth-watering! It doesn’t get any better than that, y’all!

I use 4 different varieties of beans in this recipe. You can use which ever beans you like but I am a fan of these four! Make sure to rinse and drain before adding to the Crock-Pot.

I am a DEVO Diva which means that every other month they send me sample of their olive oils and balsamic vinegars to try in my recipes. This month I decided to make my version of a Quinoa Chili recipe from Pinterest that I have made before. This time I used Wild Mushroom and Sage EVOO by DEVO Olive Oil Co. and added diced, earthy mushrooms.
This recipe is easy and packed full of great flavor! Just like my other Meatless Monday meals it’s hearty, tasty, and I promise you won’t even
miss the meat!

Start by heating two tbsp of olive oil in a deep pot and add diced onions and mushrooms.

Cook until softened, about four minutes.
Then add crushed garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds or so.

Cook the quinoa and set aside.

Here’s how I cook it: 1/2 cup quinoa with 1 cup water.

Boil over medium for five minutes then remove from heat and let sit for 15 minutes.

Fluff quinoa with a fork and mix in 1 tsp of olive oil.
