<p>Halloween is almost here y&#8217;all and I am so excited I can hardly stand it! This time of year is always busy for us with Ava&#8217;s birthday the week before along with family visiting and festivals and events just about every day {or so it seems}. But the girls and I always make fun matching costumes and we love to creative delicious <b>Halloween treats</b> to give to friends and family. This year for Ava&#8217;s preschool party we had to come up with a clever way to decorate sealed store bought food. We decided on Ava&#8217;s two favorite treats: <b>cheesesticks and orange cups</b> made into pumpkins and ghosts, of course. For Stella&#8217;s music class party we made <b>Oreo spiders</b>, which was a fun craft that the girls loved making {and eating}. Check out the pictures and instructions below and let me know what you are making for your kids Halloween treats this year!<br />
<a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161026_175109-576x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161026_175109-576x1024.jpg" width="180" height="320" border="0"></a><br />
My sweet girls dressed up as butterflies this year.<br />
<a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161026_180833-768x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161026_180833-768x1024.jpg" width="240" height="320" border="0"></a><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161027_105209-576x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161027_105209-576x1024.jpg" width="180" height="320" border="0"></a><br />
Mommy matched, of course!<br />
<img decoding="async" style="border: 0pt none;" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/fork-7.png" align="center"></p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0279-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0279-1024x682.jpg" width="401" height="267" border="0"></a></div>
<h3 style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Ingredients:</h3>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Mozzarella Cheesesticks</li>
<li>Mandarin Orange Cups</li>
<li>Halloween Oreos</li>
<li>Pretzel Sticks</li>
<li>Candy eyeballs</li>
<li>Candy Corn</li>
<li>Black Decorative icing</li>
</ul>
<h3>Directions:</h3>
</div>
<div>
<ol>
<li>For the pumpkin orange cups and ghost cheesesticks it doesn&#8217;t get much easier than this- grab a black Sharpie and get creative drawing funny and spooky faces!&nbsp;</li>
<li>For the Oreo spiders, I broke 4 pretzel sticks in half and pushed 4 halves into each side of an Oreo cookie to makes legs.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Cut off the white part of candy corn and stick two into the bottom of each Oreo for fangs.</li>
<li>Now add a couple dots in the center of the Oreos tops and press on candy eyeballs.&nbsp;</li>
</ol>
<p><b><i>How each and fun are these creations?! Happy Halloween!</i></b></p>
</div>
<div><b><i>&nbsp;</i></b></div>
<div>*I used the pumpkin face templates from <a href="http://www.becomingabentoholic.com/2012/10/jack-o-lantern-mandarin-orange-cups.html">here</a>.</div>
<div>The Oreo Cookies Spiders are from&nbsp;<a href="http://www.positivelysplendid.com/oreo-cookie-spiders/#_a5y_p=5849134">Positively Splendid</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: start;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/spoon-8.png"><img decoding="async" style="border: 0pt none;" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/spoon-8.png" align="center" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161028_131101-576x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161028_131101-576x1024.jpg" width="180" height="320" border="0"></a><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161028_190920-576x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161028_190920-576x1024.jpg" width="180" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<p>Ava loved taking the pumpkin orange cups and the ghost cheesesticks to her preschool class party.<br />
Only store bought and sealed food was allowed so these were easy non candy foods to bring that the kids loved!</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161027_104926-576x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161027_104926-576x1024.jpg" width="180" height="320" border="0"></a><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161027_105636-576x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/20161027_105636-576x1024.jpg" width="180" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<p>For Stella&#8217;s music class we brought Oreo Spiders along with candy bracelets and goodie bags and napkins for taking home.<br />
<img decoding="async" style="border: 0pt none;" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/sticks-6.png" align="center"></p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0257-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0257-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0274-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0274-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<p>My Mom is visiting for Ava&#8217;s birthday and she helped decorate the ghosts.<br />
<a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0273-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0273-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a><br />
Make sure you wipe the moisture off the cheese first. Then use a Sharpie to draw the faces.</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0262-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0262-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0263-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0263-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<p>My talented artist Ashton drew the funny faces on the orange cups.</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0275-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0275-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0277-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0277-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<p>I used the face templates/ideas from this page and just printed out the page for reference.<br />
Check it out <a href="http://www.becomingabentoholic.com/2012/10/jack-o-lantern-mandarin-orange-cups.html">here</a>.</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0261-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0261-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Time to make Oreo Spiders!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I love this idea from&nbsp;<a href="http://www.positivelysplendid.com/oreo-cookie-spiders/#_a5y_p=5849134">Positively Splendid</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0255-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0255-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I stock up on different sizes of candy eyeballs around Halloween time.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">They are so fun to use in Halloween bark, cookies, brownies, and treats like these.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0256-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0256-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Oreos are a favorite so I knew when I saw the fun Halloween<br />
Oreos I wanted to make a treat with them for the kids class.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0265-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0265-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<p>This works best with double stuff Oreos. The more cream, the better everything sticks.</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0266-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0266-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0268-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0268-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<p>For the Oreo spiders, I broke 4 pretzel sticks in half and pushed 4 halves into each side<br />
of an Oreo cookie to makes legs.<br />
Cut off the white part of candy corn and stick two into the bottom of each Oreo for fangs.<br />
Now add a couple dots in the center of the Oreos tops and press on candy eyeballs.</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0272-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0272-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We also picked up these Halloween candy bracelets for the girl&#8217;s to give to their classmates.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I found them at Target and they were in a box of 26, which just so happened to be the perfect amount for both of their classes!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0284-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/IMG_0284-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<p>Happy Halloween friends! Hope you enjoyed these easy spooky treats!</p>
