Beetlejuice Halloween Snack Mix

Ingredients

• 6-8 cups popped popcorn slightly salted
• 6 oz green yogurt covered pretzels
• gummy eyeballs and body parts
• 2 bars Halloween themed chocolate like Snickers and Twix roughly chopped
• 1 cup candy corn
• 1 cup Halloween themed M&Ms candy

Instructions

• Pop the popcorn and pour into a large bowl.
• Gently mix in remaining candy and pretzels and stir to combine.
• Scoop into small individual bowls and serve during movie night.

For this Beetlejuice inspired snack mix I used a variety of Halloween candies.

My favorite movie night combo is salty popcorn and sweet M&Ms. 

Start by adding fresh popcorn to a large bowl.

Gently mix in remaining candy and pretzels and stir to combine.

Scoop into individual bowls and serve at movie night.

Creamy, salty, and oh so spooky, these Spider Olive Deviled Eggs are a fun appetizer to serve for Halloween season!

My girl Ava loves to experiment in the kitchen so I knew this recipe would be right up her alley.

Deviled eggs are always devoured in our house and since olives are also a family favorite, this combo was a winner!

Spooky Spider Olive Deviled Eggs

Ingredients

• 6 large boiled eggs
• 2 tbsp mayo
• 1 tbsp olive brine
• 1 tsp yellow mustard
• 1/4 cup green olives chopped
• 6 large stuffed green olives

Instructions

• Slice the eggs in half lengthwise.
• Scoop out the yolks and add to a bowl. Set the whites aside.
• Next, add the mayo, mustard, olive brine, and chopped olives to the bowl. Mash the yolks and mix well.
• Gently spoon the filling into the egg whites, mounding on top.
• Finally, add slice the remaining 6 whole olives in half and add a half to the center of each egg as a spider body.
• Then slice up the remaining olives in small strips and add 8 around each olive half, 4 on each side, as legs.
• Optional: you can even cut up whatever your olives were stuffed with, like garlic or pimentos and use as two fangs in the front of the olive spider.
• Place on a platter and serve or cover and refrigerate for Halloween movie night or a spooky dinner that night!

Scoop out the yolks and add to a bowl. Set the egg whites to the side.

Next, add the mayo, mustard, olive brine, and chopped olives to the bowl.

Mash the yolks and mix well.

I love stuffed olives so I used these jumbo garlic olives for this recipe.

I reserved the garlic inside to use as fangs for the spiders. 

To add to the olive flavor of these eggs I also added olive brine from the jarred lives to the filling.

Gently spoon the filling into the egg whites, mounding on top.

Finally, add slice the remaining 6 whole olives in half and add a half to the center of each egg as a spider body.

Then slice up the remaining olives in small strips and add 8 around each olive half, 4 on each side, as legs. 

Optional: you can even cut up whatever your olives were stuffed with, like garlic or pimentos and use as two fangs in the front of the olive spider.

Place on a platter and serve or cover and refrigerate for Halloween movie night or a spooky dinner that night!

This pumpkin shaped appetizer is easy to make with just two simple ingredients.

Delicious served warm with apples and crackers for dipping, this baked brie is a fun dish to serve at Halloween parties and fall dinners!

Halloween Baked Jack O' Brie

Ingredients

• 8 oz Brie round
• 1/4 cup pumpkin butter jam
• crackers and sliced apples for serving

Instructions

• 1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
• Carefully slice off the top rind layer of the brie and set on a cutting board.
• Carve a jack o lantern face into the layer of brie, pressing the cut out sections out of the cheese and set aside.
• Spread the jam all over the bottom layer of brie, covering the entire circle.
• Gently lift the carved brie face and place on top of the jam.
• Add the brie to a baking dish.
• Bake for 10 minutes then remove from the oven.
• Serve warm with a knife to spread and crackers and apples for dipping.

This festive recipe calls for just two ingredients!

Secret Ingredient Butterfinger Fudge

Ingredients

• 2 11 oz bags candy corn about 3 1/2 cups, roughly chopped
• 1 cup white chocolate chips
• 1 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1 14 oz can condensed milk
• 1 1.5 oz Hershey's Chocolate Bar

Instructions

• Line a 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper, letting extra hang over the sides .
• In a medium saucepan over low heat add candy corn, peanut butter, white chocolate, and condensed milk.
• Stir while it melts, making sure not to burn or let it boil. This will take 10+ minutes until the candy corn is fully melted and the fudge is smooth.
• Immediately pour the fudge into the lined pan and spread evenly.
• Let it cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes then place in the fridge for an hour to harden.
• After an hour, remove from the fridge and set on the counter.
• Heat a mug of water to almost simmering. Add the Hershey Bar to the mug of water and let sit for a few seconds until it is melted inside the wrapper.
• Cut off the corner and squeeze out the chocolate and drizzle all over the fudge.
• Let the chocolate harden before lifting the fudge from the pan.
• Cut into squares and enjoy!

Add the Hershey Bar to the mug of water and let sit for a few seconds until it is melted inside the wrapper.

Melted Wicked Witch Bark

Makes 6

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
• green food coloring
• green sanding sugar sprinkles
• 6 miniature Reese's cups
• 6 mini pretzel sticks
• 3 Oreo style cookies cream center removed
• 6 Hershey kisses
• 12 candy eyeballs

Instructions

• 1.Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.
• Add white chocolate to a bowl and melt in the microwave according to package, usually 90 seconds on 50% power than stir until smooth.
• Add 4 drops of green food coloring and stir until the chocolate is evenly green.
• Working quickly, add a heaping spoonful of green chocolate to the lined pan and spread into a puddle shape.
• Add a sprinkle of the green sanding sugar on top.
• Then add a pretzel stick and Reese's cup as a broom.
• Next add 1 piece of an Oreo cookie, dip a Hershey's kiss in the green chocolate and add it on the top of the Oreo.
• Finally, add 2 candy eyeballs.
• Repeat with remaining chocolate and toppings until you have made 6.
• These harden fast but you can also add to the freezer for 10 minutes to speed up the process.
• Enjoy your treat or wrap in goody bags to gift.

Halloween Ghost Toast

Makes 4 ghost toasts

Ingredients

• 4 slices of bread I like thicker sourdough and brioche
• 4 tbsp spreadable cream cheese in a variety of flavors I like traditional, pumpkin, and berry
• 24 mini chocolate chips or raisins

Instructions

• Toast the sliced bread.
• Spread cream cheese, adding multiple flavors if you want, onto each piece of toast. Swipe it down in the shape of ghosts that curl up at the bottom. I fit three on each piece.
• Add two mini chocolate chips or raisins as the eyes on each ghost.
• Serve and enjoy your spooky breakfast treat!

This recipe is so easy and can be made in minutes.

It’s perfect for making with your kids, or letting your big kids make breakfast like I did!

This Harry Potter themed baked cheese appetizer is a fun and easy dish to serve for movie night and Halloween parties!

Ava helped create this recipe inspired by her favorite books series and her favorite food, brie cheese!

Harry Potter Baked Brie

Ingredients

• 1 large 20oz round wheel of Brie
• 1/2 cup of jam we like raspberry or plum
• sliced apples and crackers for serving
• decorative Harry Potter style round glasses for decorating

Instructions

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
• Start by carefully slicing the top rind off the top of the Brie wheel.
• Remove and place on a cutting board. Using s small pairing knife, cut out a small lightning bolt shape on the top left of the cheese. Set aside.
• Spread jam on all over the top of the brie, leaving a little space from the edges so it does not leak over.
• Add the carved top of the brie back on top of the round covered in jam.  Make sure the lightning bolt is positioned on the left top.
• Place the brie in a baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
• Remove the Brie from the oven and carefully add the decorative glasses on top of the brie wheel.
• Serve warm with sliced apples and crackers for dipping.

Start with a large round of Brie.

I found this 20oz wheel at Sam’s Club. 

Start by carefully slicing the top rind off the top of the Brie wheel.

Remove and place on a cutting board.

Using s small pairing knife cut out a small lightning bolt shape on the top left of the cheese. Set aside.

Spread jam on all over the top of the brie.

Ava picked out this bright red plum jam which was delicious and the perfect Harry Potter color!

Leave a little space from the edges so the jam does not leak over. 

Add the carved top of the brie back on top of the round covered in jam. 

Make sure the lightning bolt is positioned on the left top. 

Place the brie in a baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. 

(Do not bake with glasses on top. I just added for the photo).

Remove the Brie from the oven and carefully add the decorative glasses on top of the brie wheel. 

Serve warm with sliced apples and crackers for dipping.

This fun appetizer is perfect for movie night and Halloween parties!
