Looking for a fun snow day activity?

These easy to make beaded snowflakes are a pretty winter themed kids craft to make at home!

 

What you need:

Makes 2 snowflakes

  • 6 pipe cleaners, we used winter colors like white, silver, light blue
  • 1 small container of colored plastic beads, round and shapes

Directions:

1. Start by shaping your snowflake. Criss cross the 3 pipe cleaners. I form an “X” then add 1 pipe cleaned straight in the center.

2. Twist the 3 pipe cleaners together so you now have a 6 sided snowflake. 

4. Now, string beads through one snowflake arm. My kids liked making patterns.

5. Fold down the tip of the pipe cleaner over the last bead to secure.

6. Now repeat and string beads on the rest of the snowflake arms.

7. You can add a string to a side to hang or display on a shelf like my kiddos!

Best of all, they hold up well and look pretty when hung up and displayed.

Summer is here and we are loving this sunny, beautiful weather! We are lucky enough to have a neighborhood pool {complete with an attached baby pool} to play in and cool off on these long days. As a Mom of two toddlers {or should I say one toddler and one preschooler?} I struggle with the same toddler drama that most parents deal with daily. 
What do I feed my picky eater?  
Now, I like to call my girls’ foodies since I love cooking and they love eating. I am proud that they eat well and enjoy most of what I make them. But, of course, they have their days when they scream and cry and don’t want a single thing I make them. It’s frustrating and time consuming to make meal after meal or in most cases snack after snack to appease those hangry kids.
