Homemade Eggnog
Ingredients

pint
whole milk
4
eggs
separated
1/3
cup
plus 1 tablespoon sugar
1
cup
heavy cream
1
teaspoon
nutmeg
plus more for garnishing
3
ounces
Bourbon
optional
Instructions
Beat egg yolks, 1/3 cup sugar, and nutmeg until creamy.
Add Bourbon and milk to egg mixture.
In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until fluffy.
Beat heavy cream and remaining tablespoon of sugar until soft peaks form.
Fold egg whites and whipped cream into egg mixture.
Stir well and serve in mugs, garnishing with more nutmeg.
