Hocus Pocus Witch Hat Sugar Cookies
Makes 3-4 dozen small to-medium cookies
Ingredients

2 sticks butter, unsalted and softened
1 1/2
cups
powdered sugar
1/2
cup
Halloween sprinkles
for mixing
assorted sprinkles
for decorating
cookie icing
for decorating
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl add soft butter and powdered sugar. Cream together with a mixer until fully combined.
Add egg and vanilla and mix in.
Finally, stir in sprinkles.
In a large mixing bowl add dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt and mix well.
'With the mixer running slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
Roll the dough into 2 balls and let rest for 5-10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Flour a prep area and rolling pin and roll out one of the dough balls to around 1/4 " thick.
Use a witch themed cookie cutter ( I used a witch hat but a cat, broom, or cauldron shape work too) to cut out shapes in th dough.
Place cookies in rows on a lined baking sheet.
Add sprinkles now or you can decorate with icing and sprinkles after they bake and cool.
Bake for 5-7 minutes , cool slightly, then move to a cooling rack.
Repeat with remaining dough.
