<h3 style="text-align: center;">What you need:&nbsp;</h3>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;Recycled Wine Corks</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Red Acrylic Craft Paint</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Green Assorted Felt and Fabric Scraps&nbsp;</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Assorted Ribbons</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;Twigs</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Glue Gun and Glue Sticks</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Scissors or Pinking Shears</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Paintbrush</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Wire Cutters</li>
</ul>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Directions:&nbsp;</h3>
<ol>
<li style="text-align: center;">Begin with the smallest apple. Attach two corks, three corks and two corks with a glue gun.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Glue the corks together in rows. Stack and secure two corks on the bottom, three corks in the middle, and two corks on the top with a glue gun.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">For the medium apple, attach two corks, three corks, three corks and two corks with a glue gun.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Glue the corks together in rows. Stack and secure two corks on the bottom, three corks on the second row, three corks on the third row, and two corks on the top.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">For the largest apple, attach three corks, four corks, five corks, four corks, and three corks with a glue gun.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Glue the corks together in rows. Stack and secure three corks on the bottom, four corks on the second row, five corks on the third row, four corks on the fourth row, and three corks on the top row.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Place red craft paint on a paper plate. Paint the ends of each cork apple with red paint using a paintbrush.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Gather a tree branch from the yard (or a few twigs). Cut one-inch to two-inch sections with a pair of wire cutters.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Attach a stem to the top center of each cork apple with a glue gun.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Cut out leaf shapes with scissors or pinking shears from different shades of green felt or fabric.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Apply a dot of glue at the tip of each leaf and fold in half. This creates dimension.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Attach to the side of the apple stem with a glue gun.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Finally, cut small piece of ribbon and tie in three bows. Glue onto the front of each apple stem.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Now your apples are done and ready to display.</li>
</ol>
<p style="text-align: center;">Note: If using liquid craft glue hold corks together with a rubber band during the drying process.</p>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It&#8217;s back to school time and that means fast breakfasts, easy lunches, and tasty and nutritious after school snacks. Both my girls are toddlers, but Ava just started preschool so we are new to the &#8220;back to school&#8221; world. However, I have tried to teach them from the start about healthy habits like eating their fruits and veggies.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I was excited now that Ava is old enough I can introduce her to gummy vitamins and &#8211; no surprise here- she loved them!&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/IMG_0136-1-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/IMG_0136-1-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/RhinoFull.jpg" width="223" height="320" border="0"></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The folks from<b> Rhino</b><b><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />&nbsp;</b><b>&nbsp;Gummy Multivitamin</b>&nbsp;sent me a few bottles to try and Ava was an instant fan of the tasty gummies that are both fun and delicious! As a Mom, I am so proud to support this healthy habit and love that she is getting her daily essential nutrients and vitamins!&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/IMG_0221-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/IMG_0221-682x1024.jpg" width="301" height="452" border="0"></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">&nbsp;As a family, we start our mornings in the kitchen together. Ava is given her two daily gummy vitamins and then her Dad and her choose the fruits they want in their morning smoothie. I decided to create a smoothie inspired by the girls&#8217; favorite after school snack: apples and peanut butter! This <b>&nbsp;Apple and Peanut Butter Smoothie</b>&nbsp;is easy to make and a nutritious breakfast that fills you up and starts your morning off right!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Instead of using ice in my smoothies I like to use frozen fruit {like bananas}</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">&nbsp;or frozen yogurt. I scooped a 5 oz cup of Apple Cinnamon Greek Yogurt&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">into an ice cube tray and froze it overnight.&nbsp;</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Any apple will work for this smoothie.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">I used 1/2 cup skim milk for this recipe.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">You could also sub Almond Milk too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/IMG_0081-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/IMG_0081-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Creamy peanut butter is one of our favorite treats- in just about anything!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I use 2 tbsp of creamy peanut butter in this smoothie recipe.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/IMG_0082-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/IMG_0082-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Combine all ingredients in a blender.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CTtvR4RR8Zg/VFcIoJ7WEZI/AAAAAAAAVw8/y70VS7nkuuw/s1600/IMG_1328.JPG"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/IMG_1328-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">My favorite apples to use are tart Granny Smith apples and sweet Honey Crisp apples.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Wash them with soap to remove any wax residue and keep them cold in the fridge until ready to dip. this helps the caramel stick to them. They remove the stems and insert a Popsicle stick into the bottom as a handle.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-81NZedxBLV8/VFcIwGmpmhI/AAAAAAAAVxM/_WiE2a5FG6s/s1600/IMG_1331.JPG"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/IMG_1331-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I also used small craft sticks inserted into sliced apples to make dipped apple slices!&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">This was a hit with Ava!&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XGibyZZpDt8/VFcI6QsL_yI/AAAAAAAAVxc/GWICbdBY96g/s1600/IMG_1332.JPG"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/IMG_1332-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Add caramels to a large microwaveable bowl along with 1 tbsp milk. Heat until caramel is melted. I used the chewy caramels first for the sliced apples and microwaved them for about 45 seconds-1 min. If using the baking caramels microwave for about 2 minutes.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">1 bag of baking caramels will coat 4 whole apples.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Dip the cold apple in the hot caramel turning to coat (I dip mine about 2/3 of the way in the caramel). Use a knife to scrap off any excess on the bottom of the apple.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SoWQ8-vh2w4/VFcI3cJqROI/AAAAAAAAVxU/dDMRJFpbrHA/s1600/IMG_1333.JPG"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/IMG_1333-1024x733.jpg" width="320" height="229" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">After dipping apples, top with optional toppings. Lay a sheet of wax paper on a plate or baking tray, spray wax paper with non stick spray and set apples on the paper. Place in fridge to harden (about an hour) before serving.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><b>Topping ideas:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><b>Werther’s® Original®</b>&nbsp;Caramel Popcorn</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">mini marshmallows</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">crushed peanuts</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">apple pie spice</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">mini chocolate chips</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">drizzled melted chocolate</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">cinnamon sugar</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">peanut butter chips</div>
