<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">These three liquors combined make one tasty cocktail!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4576-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4576-682x1024.jpg" width="302" height="454" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Chill your cocktail glass in the freezer before preparing your drink.<br />
I like to use a martini glass.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4575-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4575-1024x682.jpg" width="403" height="268" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Add a small amount of vodka to a plate or wide bowl and add all three colored sugars, in purple, green, and yellow to a plate.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4578-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4578-1024x682.jpg" width="406" height="270" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Dip the rim of the chilled glass in the vodka.<br />
<img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4579-1024x682.jpg" width="403" height="268" border="0"><br />
To make the sugar just add 1-2 drops of food coloring to a 3 separate<br />
tbsps of sugar and stir until combined.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4583-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4583-1024x682.jpg" width="403" height="268" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then dip a different section of the rim in a different color sugar.<br />
&nbsp;<a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4587-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4587-1024x682.jpg" width="401" height="267" border="0"></a><br />
&nbsp; To make the cocktail start with a handful of ice cubes added to a shaker.<br />
&nbsp;<a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4595-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4595-1024x682.jpg" width="403" height="268" border="0"></a><br />
&nbsp;Add 2oz Chila &#8216;Orchata Cinnamon Cream Rum to the shaker.<br />
<a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4591-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4591-682x1024.jpg" width="303" height="455" border="0"></a><br />
Now add 2oz King Cake Vodka.<br />
You could also use Vanilla Vodka.<br />
<a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4597-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4597-1024x682.jpg" width="401" height="268" border="0"></a><br />
And finally add 1/2 oz Amaretto.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4601-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4601-1024x682.jpg" width="403" height="268" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Shake it up well in the cocktail shaker.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4603-1024x682.jpg" width="401" height="267" border="0">&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Strain and pour into the cocktail glass.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4573-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4573-1024x682.jpg" width="407" height="271" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It&#8217;s not done yet!<br />
Mardi Gras is over the top so why not add a cube of<br />
&nbsp;skewered King Cake and even a traditional King Cake baby on top?!&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4618-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/IMG_4618-682x1024.jpg" width="304" height="457" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and you are ready to celebrate!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">Today is my husband&#8217;s birthday and I thought what better drink to make him than a <b>Dark and Stormy</b>, which is a combo of two of his favorites: <b>Ginger Beer</b> and Rum. But to mix it up a bit I decided to make a Louisiana Cajun version, in honor of the state we live in. I substituted Cajun Spiced Rum and instead of the traditional lime garnish I used a spicy pickled okra. Oh, and if that wasn&#8217;t enough Cajun for ya, I rimmed the cup in Tony Chachere&#8217;s Creole Seasoning.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/IMG_8622-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/IMG_8622-682x1024.jpg" width="304" height="456" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">As Ashton said, &#8220;This drink is intense!&#8221; but it was a hit with the birthday boy and I hope you&#8217;ll give it a try too!&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/IMG_8354-1024x682.jpg" width="397" height="264" border="0"></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">How cool is this copper mug from <a href="http://reedsinc.com/product-category/reeds-ginger-products/">Reed&#8217;s</a>?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;I gave this to Ashton as a Valentine&#8217;s Day present and it&#8217;s now one of his signature drink cups!&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/IMG_8352-682x1024.jpg" width="304" height="457" border="0"></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Only a few ingredients make up this Cajun inspired drink- including <a href="http://reedsinc.com/product-category/reeds-ginger-products/">Reed&#8217;s Ginger Brew</a>, Cajun Rum, and a spicy rim and garnish.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">Start by wetting the rim of the glasses and dipping them in Creole seasoning.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp; Most people know The Melting Pot for their delicious sweet and savory choices of fondue but did you know they also have an extensive specialty drink menu? In my opinion, there is no better way to start off a memorable meal than with a martini! My favorite has to be the <b>Love Martini</b>, a tasty concoction of Coconut&nbsp; Rum, Peach Schnapps, and Cranberry Juice! Not too strong, not too sweet&#8230;.just right! Whether you are out with your girlfriends or your special someone, this drink will definitely make you feel all warm and cozy inside! Check out the recipe below.</div>
