<p style="text-align: center;">For this recipe you need about 2 cups of shredded or cubed cooked chicken.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I prefer to poached 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts in simmering chicken broth.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Once cooked through remove to a cutting board and cool slightly then shred with forks or chop up.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Perfect for chicken salad and casseroles!</p>

<div style="text-align: center;">Sweet yellow onion and tart Granny Smith apples add another&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">layer of flavor to this creamy casserole.&nbsp;</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You can use any brand and style of canned baked beans you want.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I like sweet beans with brown sugar and {you guessed it} bacon!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">Dice up one Granny Smith apple {about 1 cup}. Leave the skin on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/IMG_6737-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/IMG_6737-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except bacon.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;Pour into a greased baking dish.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">I pre-baked my bacon on a rack on top of a lined baking sheet</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.&nbsp;</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, until the potatoes are very soft.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_8457-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_8457-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Add the half and half to the pot.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups slightly salted water to a boil.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Add the shrimp all at once and stir well. As soon as they turn pink remove&nbsp;</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">We had a small Christmas this year with just my parents and us. We didn&#8217;t want to spend all day cooking a big Christmas feast. I served fruit and a quiche for breakfast and simple appetizers like sausage, cranberry goat cheese, crackers and bacon wrapped dates for lunch. Then my Dad fried a small turkey (it only takes an hour!), my Mom made her giblet gravy, and I threw together 3 side dishes in the time it took to fry the turkey. This year I served: Parmesan Creamed Spinach, Sweet Corn Spoon Bread Casserole, and Twice Baked Shrimp Stuffed Potatoes. For dessert I made a Southern Pecan Pie the night before and served it with homemade whipped cream. Perfect Christmas supper and I had plenty of time to relax and spend time with my family.&nbsp;</div>
