6tablespoonsbuttersoftened and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1cupshredded cheddar cheese
3/4cupbuttermilk
Garlic Butter Topping:
2tablespoonsbuttermelted
2clovesgarlicminced
1teaspoondried parsley
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk both flours, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder until combined.
Add in the cubed butter and using your fingers, rub it into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse meal.
Add in the shredded cheese and stir then add in the buttermilk and mix until combined.
Using a medium ice cream scoop, scoop the biscuit mixture in rows onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the biscuits for 10 minutes, and then remove and brush with garlic butter topping {see below} and then bake for an additional 5 minutes until the tops are puffed and golden brown.
For the garlic butter topping:
Mix all three ingredients together in a small bowl.
Set aside until ready to brush on biscuits.
