<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><em>This is a throwback post from 2018!</em></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We were lucky enough to celebrate Christmas at Natural Bridge Caverns, in the scenic Texas Hill Country. We had the best time going on a hayride, listening to carolers, making s&#8217;mores,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">exploring the caverns, climbing the tower and zipline and eating delicious fudge! I cannot wait until we can go back to Texas again and visit in the summer!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Get more info about <a href="https://naturalbridgecaverns.com/">Natural Bridge Caverns</a> here.&nbsp;</div>

<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_0558-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_0558-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">&nbsp;</div>
<p style="text-align: center;">The fudge in their store was the best and my favorite flavor was the holiday special: Eggnog!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">This recipe is inspired by that treat. I hope you enjoy as much as we did!</p>

<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of things to do at the Caverns!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">We spent the whole day and had the best time!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">For the fudge: melt white chocolate according to package. I used a double boiler.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp; You can also use blue candy melts and skip the food coloring.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">But I prefer the flavor of white chocolate.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_9473-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_9473-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">For the fudge: melt white chocolate according to package. I used a double boiler.<br />
<a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_9472-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_9472-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a><br />
Once it is smooth and melted remove white chocolate from heat.<br />
I chose cream cheese flavored frosting but any white {or blue!} frosting will work.<br />
<a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_9474-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_9474-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a><br />
Stir in frosting. Mix until well combined.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_9450-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_9450-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Now time to make it fun!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Since this is inspired by the new Smurfs movie,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;I added blue food coloring and blue sugar sprinkles on top.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_9478-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_9478-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Add in blue food coloring until you get desired color {5-6 drops} then stir. &nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_9479-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_9479-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Every year I make a new fudge recipe for the holidays. All fudge is delicious in my opinion but I like to create unique fudge flavors for gifting to my friends and family. Last year I made<a href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/2014/12/chocolate-pumpkin-spice-peanut-butter.html"> Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Peanut Butter Fudge</a> {say that three times fast!} and this year I decided to create one of my favorite indulgences, <b>chocolate chip cookie dough</b>. The fudge version is rich and delicious and tastes just like traditional chocolate chip cookie dough but it&#8217;s egg free and safe to eat as much as you want! Being a fudge though it is thicker than traditional cookie dough so I wouldn&#8217;t recommend going too crazy and eating a whole pan {even though it&#8217;s<i> that</i> good}!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I have always been an avid reader and when I came across my first foodie mystery novel a few years ago, I was hooked! Everyone loves a good murder mystery but throw in a chef heroine and bonus recipes and you&#8217;ve got the perfect fun novel to relax and read {and then bake up some new recipes too}.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I was sent a copy of <b>Joanne Fluke</b>&#8216;s new novel, <b><i>Double Fudge Brownie Murder </i></b>and after reading the first chapter I knew right away I would love this series.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">There is a new mystery and introduction of characters in each book so you don&#8217;t have to start from the beginning of the series which is nice. even though, I have already bought book one and plan to read them all! And every book is packed full with delicious recipes from cookies and cakes to appetizers and sandwiches! It&#8217;s like a novel and cookbook in one!&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">After reading <b><i>Double Fudge Brownie Murder</i></b> {finished in one weekend, by the way}, I picked out a handful of recipes from the book that I wanted to try. The first recipe, of course, was the title recipe: <b>Double Fudge Brownies</b>. I was skeptical at first, I mean how good could the brownies <i>really</i> be? But dang, they were Ah-mazing! Seriously the best. brownies. ever.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Fudgy and gooey, these moist brownies were a hit with everyone who tried them. Even better they are topped with a sweet chocolate icing {truly the &#8216;icing on the cake&#8217;} that made them out of this world.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Scroll down for the recipe and enter to win a copy of <b><i>Double Fudge Brownie Murder</i></b>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Don&#8217;t worry I didn&#8217;t stop with just one recipe!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here are the other mouthwatering <b>Joanne Fluke</b> recipes I created:</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">The secret ingredient is <b>Jif Whipped Pumpkin Spice Peanut Butter</b>. It is the perfect creaminess for fudge with the added fall flavor of pumpkin pie spice! I am a big fan of pecans (especially with pumpkin) and I like the added nuttiness and crunch they add to this fudge. You can also lightly toast them before adding.&nbsp;</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">Only 4 ingredients for a delicious fudge.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/IMG_1210-1024x768.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/IMG_1210-1024x768.jpg" width="320" height="240" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp; This Pumpkin Spice Peanut Butter is my new favorite fall treat!&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">The creamy, whipped texture is perfect for fudge.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/IMG_1205-1024x768.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/IMG_1205-1024x768.jpg" width="320" height="240" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Mix condensed milk with chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/IMG_1206-1024x768.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/IMG_1206-1024x768.jpg" width="320" height="240" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Heat on 50% power for 1 minute. Stir then heat for another minute. Stir again until smooth.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/IMG_1207-1024x768.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/IMG_1207-1024x768.jpg" width="320" height="240" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Spread into a parchment paper lined and greased 9X13 baking dish. Or you can use a disposable aluminum pan and spray it with non stick spray.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/IMG_1211-1024x768.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/IMG_1211-1024x768.jpg" width="320" height="240" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Now melt the peanut butter. It&#8217;s already whipped so it doesn&#8217;t need much. I just add the remaining condensed milk (about 1/4 cup) and the peanut butter to a bowl and heat on 50% power for 1 minute. Stir and that&#8217;s it!&nbsp;</div>
