<p>Snow days are happening more and more here. In fact, last week my kids went to school a whopping ONE day. Yep, one day of school and four and then the weekend at home with Mom. Stuck inside because it was mushy and icy outside. After day <del>three</del> two I already needed a solo tropical vacation far, far away but I had to settle for a hot shower, good book, and cup of coffee for 30 minutes locked in my room. Ah, Mom life. The one awesome thing about snow days though- hot drinks and big ol&#8217; bowls of soup while watching our fave movies on the couch. Seriously, it does not get any better than that.&nbsp;</p>
<p>This is how this ultimate creamy and comforting soup<strong> Crock-Pot Hash brown Potato and Turkey Soup</strong> was created. It was snow day number three and I had lots of leftover turkey {it&#8217;s never ending} and a big bag of frozen hashbrowns. All the ingredients are items I had on hand and I mixed them all up in my handy dandy Crock-Pot and called it a day. Five hours later dinner was ready. Dang, I love easy meals when I really don&#8217;t feel like cooking! Hope you enjoy this as much as we did. The kids even had seconds. Mom win!</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Start with a bag full of frozen hashbrowns. I have used both shredded hash browns and Southern style cubed potatoes.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-27569" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5676-1024x683.jpg" alt="" width="499" height="332" srcset="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5676-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5676-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5676-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5676-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5676-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5676-340x225.jpg 340w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5676-scaled.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 499px) 100vw, 499px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I like the Southern style larger potatoes and thicker texture in the soup the best.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-27570" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5678-1024x683.jpg" alt="" width="498" height="332" srcset="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5678-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5678-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5678-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5678-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5678-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5678-scaled.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I love making this soup with leftover holiday turkey.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I chopped up about 2 cups of meat. It is delicious with chicken and ham too.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-27571" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5680-1024x683.jpg" alt="" width="497" height="331" srcset="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5680-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5680-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5680-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5680-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5680-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5680-340x225.jpg 340w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5680-scaled.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 497px) 100vw, 497px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Two types of cheese make this extra rich and creamy. I add one block of cubed cream cheese and one cup of shredded cheddar.&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-27572" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5681-1024x683.jpg" alt="" width="503" height="335" srcset="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5681-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5681-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5681-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5681-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5681-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5681-340x225.jpg 340w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5681-scaled.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 503px) 100vw, 503px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Bacon makes everything better, right?</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-27573" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5682-1024x683.jpg" alt="" width="504" height="336" srcset="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5682-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5682-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5682-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5682-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5682-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_5682-scaled.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 504px) 100vw, 504px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Once you have added potatoes, turkey, both cheeses, bacon, green onions, and cream of chicken soup to the Crock-Pot now pour in your broth.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Chicken or turkey broth both work for this recipe.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b>Thanksgiving </b>is just two weeks away and I don&#8217;t know about y&#8217;all, but I can&#8217;t wait to eat my Dad&#8217;s famous fried turkey, my uncle&#8217;s sweet potato casserole, my own green bean casserole, and my Mama&#8217;s cranberry sauce! So for pizza night this week, I decided to create a <b>Thanksgiving </b>inspired pizza with all my favorite <b>Thanksgiving leftovers</b> as toppings! Luckily, I always have my favorite <b>Mama Mary’s®&nbsp;Pizza Crust </b>on hand from Walmart for our weekly pizza night at home, and I must say this pizza creation is the BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD!&nbsp;</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I use Mama Mary&#8217;s® Original pizza crust for this Thanksgiving Leftovers Pizza.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It is hearty enough to hold all the delicious toppings and the perfect crunchy texture!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0556-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0556-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">If you are using Thanksgiving dinner leftovers just simply chop up about 2 cups of turkey meat.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp; If not you can roast a turkey breast at home to use.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0569-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0569-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">This turkey breast tenderloin was huge!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I baked it for an hour at 325 degrees and used half for this recipe.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0575-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0575-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Let cool slightly then chop for topping the pizza.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0584-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0584-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I love mashed sweet potatoes and always bake extra for my girls.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">One large sweet potato is plenty for this recipe. Bake at 400 degrees for one hour {poke holes in it with a fork and wrap in foil}.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0587-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0587-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I remove the sweet potato from the skin and mash in a bowl. Then, while it is still warm, I mix in butter and brown sugar. You can also use leftover sweet potato casserole.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0589-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0589-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Place pizza crust on a pizza pan or large baking sheet.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Drizzle with olive oil and brush to spread all over the bottom and sides of the crusts.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">Spread sweet potatoes on the bottom of the pizza, covering the crust evenly.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0591-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0591-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Top with cubed turkey.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0593-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0593-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I used 2 cups of roasted chopped turkey breasts.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0594-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0594-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I steamed 1 cup of trimmed green beans then sprinkled them on the pizza.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0595-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0595-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Next sprinkle sliced mushrooms and cooked green beans on top.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You can also use leftover green bean casserole instead.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0596-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0596-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It&#8217;s not pizza without cheese, right? &nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I use a 3 Cheddar blend cheese.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0597-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0597-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Now add 1 cup of shredded cheese, sprinkled all over.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Place pizza in the oven and bake for 5 minutes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_060728229-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_060728229-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Since this is a Thanksgiving Leftovers Pizza and I am topping with green bean casserole {or a deconstructed version}, I couldn&#8217;t forget the French fried onions on top!&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0611-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0611-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;Remove the pizza from the oven and and sprinkle of 1/2 cup French fried onions&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">and another 1/2 cup cheese.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Bake for another 5 minutes, or until golden and melted.&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0599-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0599-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I made my Mama&#8217;s cranberry sauce {recipe:<a href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/2016/11/mamas-holiday-cranberry-sauce.html">here</a>} and knew it would be the perfect final addition to this pizza!&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0621-1024x682.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0621-1024x682.jpg" width="320" height="213" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Remove the pizza from the oven and drizzle with warm cranberry sauce.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_064228229-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_064228229-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_064828229-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_064828229-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Cut into eight slices and serve warm.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0623-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_0623-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_064328229-682x1024.jpg"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/IMG_064328229-682x1024.jpg" width="213" height="320" border="0"></a></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">This Thanksgiving we made a a ton of food, as usual, and since there were only 5 of us (and a baby!) eating, we had<br />
lots of leftovers. No biggie though, Thanksgiving leftovers are my favorite and every year my Dad makes his legendary <b>Kentucky Hot Brown<br />
Sandwiches</b> with the leftover turkey, gravy, and mashed potatoes. Not sure where he learned the recipe but I am assuming our family, including his two sister&#8217;s in Kentucky showed him the famous sandwich from Louisville, KY.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0wjhfnNNTig/UqK54tPn36I/AAAAAAAANt0/4-u39kP6q0k/s1600/IMG_2797.JPG"><img decoding="async" class="" src="https://www.4theloveoffoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/IMG_2797-1024x768.jpg" width="419" height="314" border="0"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp; These loaded, hearty sandwiches are served open faced and piled high with mashed potatoes, turkey, bacon, cheese, tomatoes, and gravy. Oh, and more cheese! Jeez, eat one of these and you will be full for the rest of the day. Just like eating a Thanksgiving Day meal!</div>
