Guess what fellow foodies?! October is National Pizza Month! I know y’all are as excited as I am since I love, love, love pizza.
To celebrate I have teamed up with Mama’s Mary’s® Pizza again {remember my Mama Mary’s Tasting Party a few years back?} and I have two tasty pizza recipes to share! First, I have created this crunchy Taco Pizza for our Taco Tuesday’s dinner tonight. Then, next month I have a Thanksgiving themed pizza you are going to love!
This Taco Pizza is inspired by two of my fave foods: tacos and pizza. I add seasoned beef, crushed tortilla chips, taco sauce, and lots of gooey cheese, all baked on top of a Mama Mary’s pizza crust.

Scroll down for the recipe and comment and let me know what your favorite pizza creation is!
This month is Mama Mary’s third annual National Pizza Month promotion at Walmart. On specially marked packages of Mama Mary’s Pizza Crust from October through November at Walmart stores nationally, there will be a fold-out booklet with more than $5 in coupon savings from Mama Mary’s Pizza Crusts and Pepperoni, Dole® Pineapple, Cabot® Cheese, Kikkoman® Teriyaki, Barilla® Sauce, and Filippo Berio® Olive Oil.

Crunchy Taco Pizza

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 Mama Mary's® Pizza Crust
  • 1/2 cup taco sauce
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded {I used Cabot® Cheese white cheddar}
  • 1 1/2 cups tortilla chips crushed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil {I used Filippo Berio®}
  • optional toppings: shredded lettuce chopped tomato, diced onion, sliced olives, sour cream, and salsa.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add ground beef.
  • Stir and crumble then add taco seasoning.
  • Cook until browned and cooked through then drain if needed. Remove from heat.
  • Now prepare your crust. I place one large Mama Mary's crust on a baking sheet.
  • Brush olive oil all over the crust.
  • Now pour on taco sauce. I use about 1/2 cup.
  • Spread evenly all over the crust except for the edges.
  • Now add ground beef and spread all over.
  • Sprinkle on crushed {or broken} tortilla chips.
  • Top with lots of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until browned.
  • Remove from the oven and top with your favorite toppings like chopped lettuce, tomatoes, onions, olives, sour cream, and salsa.
  • I serve my pizza with a family size side of refried beans.
  • Cut into slices and serve.
