It’s back to school time and that means fast breakfasts, easy lunches, and tasty and nutritious after school snacks. Both my girls are toddlers, but Ava just started preschool so we are new to the “back to school” world. However, I have tried to teach them from the start about healthy habits like eating their fruits and veggies.

I was excited now that Ava is old enough I can introduce her to gummy vitamins and – no surprise here- she loved them!
The folks from Rhinoâ„¢  Gummy Multivitamin sent me a few bottles to try and Ava was an instant fan of the tasty gummies that are both fun and delicious! As a Mom, I am so proud to support this healthy habit and love that she is getting her daily essential nutrients and vitamins!
Rhinoâ„¢ Gummy Multivitamin is gluten-free, and made with natural fruit flavors and colors derived from fruits, vegetables and plants.
As a family, we start our mornings in the kitchen together. Ava is given her two daily gummy vitamins and then her Dad and her choose the fruits they want in their morning smoothie. I decided to create a smoothie inspired by the girls’ favorite after school snack: apples and peanut butter! This  Apple and Peanut Butter Smoothie is easy to make and a nutritious breakfast that fills you up and starts your morning off right!

Instead of using ice in my smoothies I like to use frozen fruit {like bananas}
or frozen yogurt. I scooped a 5 oz cup of Apple Cinnamon Greek Yogurt
into an ice cube tray and froze it overnight.
Any apple will work for this smoothie.
Some of my favorites are large Honey Crisp and Gala apples.
Peel and cube one apple.
I used 1/2 cup skim milk for this recipe.
You could also sub Almond Milk too.
Creamy peanut butter is one of our favorite treats- in just about anything!
I use 2 tbsp of creamy peanut butter in this smoothie recipe.
Combine all ingredients in a blender.
Puree until smooth.
Pour into a large glass. I like mason jars.
Top with a peanut butter topped apple slice and a straw and serve.
Ava gives her Peanut Butter and Apple Smoothie a thumbs up!
She was sweet enough to share with her baby sister, who loved it too!
This Apple and Peanut Butter Smoothie is the perfect fast and easy breakfast or snack for kids and parents for Back to School time!

This is a sponsored post for which I’ve received free product from Nutrition Now, but the opinions are 100% my own.
