For The Love of Food Blog

For this special Halloween themed snack mix I used a few specialty fall only items.
Obviously these are not required but I thought they were fun and made the snack mix special.
1. Fall colored M&Ms candies {Target}
2. Pumpkin Spice Pumpkin Seeds {Trader Joe’s}
3. Halloween Shaped Mini Pretzels {Utz brand, Target}
4. Autumn Mix candy corn {Dollar Tree}
Along with the fall themed items I also added Bugles snacks since they look like witch hats and dried cranberries for color along with sweet kettle popcorn.
In a large mixing bowl add the first six ingredients.
Melt candy melts in the microwave on 50% power for one minute.
Stir then heat for another 30 seconds. Repeat until smooth and melted.
Pour candy melts over the snack mix .
Stir to coat.

Now add fall colored M&Ms.
Then sprinkle on the gold star sprinkles for some extra magic!
Spread on a lined baking sheet to harden and cool slightly.
Serve in bowls for movie night snacking.
Of course we snacked on this Magic Munch while we watched Hocus Pocus over the weekend!
Or package in snack bags for a spookily delicious treat!
How fun is this Hocus Pocus label ?

    That’s an adorable photo of your daughters! My 25-year-old daughter and her best friend are coming over Friday night to watch HP2! Making the Magic Munch – just a question. How much of the orange candy melts do you use? The whole 12 oz package? Thanks for the recipe and enjoy the movie!
