Disney's Grey Stuff Dessert
Happy Movie Monday friends! I am excited to share a recipe inspired by March’s movie: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. My girls and I can’t wait to see the movie on opening weekend and I will be sure to come back and update this post with pics!
I made “The Grey Stuff” which is from my favorite song in the movie, “Be Our Guest” sung by the charming candlestick Luminere.
They serve it at Disney World at the Be Our Guest restaurant as a cookies and cream type mousse on top of a cupcake and on it’s own. We loved it during our trip to Disney in 2014 and I can’t wait to go back! I experimented with a few recipes but in the end decided homemade whipped cream with pudding and Oreos was just right!

Check out my recipe and the link up with other talented bloggers recipes and crafts inspired by Beauty and the Beast!

I use half a pack of Oreos for this recipe, about 15.
Add Oreo cookies to a food processor and pulse until they are finely crushed. Set aside.
Prepare pudding by whisking pudding mix and 2 cups milk in a large bowl for 2 minutes until smooth and slightly thickened. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
To make the whipped cream, place your bowl and beaters in the freezer for
at least 10 minutes before using.
Remove from freezer and pour heavy cream and powdered sugar in the bowl.
Beat on high until stiff peaks form.
Remove pudding from the fridge and gently mix in whipped cream until combined.
It will be smooth and a pretty light yellow color.
Now, pour in crushed Oreos.
Stir until mixed well.
Add to a piping bag {optional} and swirl into goblets or dessert bowls.
You can also add on top of cupcakes.
Sprinkle sugar pearls on top of each mousse and top with a red sugar rose.
This is Ava’s face when I gave her a cup of The Grey Stuff Mousse for dessert.
Pure happiness!
Serve right away and enjoy!
This recipe makes 6-8 servings and is a delicious treat for a birthday party, shower, brunch and even a wedding!
I think Belle would approve!

What a fun tie-in to the movie! I LOVE it! I never imagined "the gray stuff" was a delicious cupcake, lol! But of course, that make it so much more clever. We also can't wait to go see the movie. But I think I may be going alone, I doubt I'll be able to drag my teenage sons to see it, ha! I'm pinning your recipe now, well done!
