This kid friendly smoothie is the perfect breakfast treat to make with your kiddos this Valentine’s weekend! Just add a few simple ingredients, blend together until smooth, and you and your sweethearts have a delicious smoothie that tastes like a milkshake but is healthier and lighter!
My little love bugs had their Valentine’s pictures taken last week
with the talented Chelsea Aycock Photography.
My oldest princess, Ava, was all smiles and I am IN LOVE with this picture!
Like most kiddos they sometime smile for the camera and cooperate and they sometimes go crazy and try to destroy the place. So as any good Mama knows, you always come prepared with a food bride! 😉

If you are in Texas or Louisiana I highly recommend Chelsea for your family portraits!

Only a few basic ingredients are needed for this tasty smoothie creation!
I like to use frozen fruit instead of ice.
Add yogurt, milk, frozen banana, frozen strawberries,
and 2 tbsp chocolate syrup to a blender.
Frozen bananas are a staple in my smoothies.
I always store a few peeled bananas in my freezer for quick smoothies any time of day!
Blend until smooth.
I like to add a few sliced strawberries to the inside sides of my glass first.
Adding the sliced strawberries in the glass is optional but it makes for a pretty presentation!
Pour into a large 16 oz glass {or 2 small glasses}.
Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of mini chocolate chips and if you want to go all out add a chocolate dipped strawberry too!
This healthy version of a decadent milkshake is perfect for sharing with your sweetheart.
