It’s Movie Monday again and I’m am excited to share this month’s summer themed movie and recipe with y’all- it’s Jaws!

This horror-thriller movie was released in 1975 and still to this day scares the beejesus out of me!

Since we just hosted a farewell pool party for the girls before we movie next month I though it would be fitting to make an Ocean Water Punch for their shindig and for Movie Monday. This 2 ingredient drink is pretty, tasty, and refreshing too. The perfect summer drink for everyone! I even added gummy sharks to the glasses for a fun touch!

Scroll down for my drink recipe and all the other Jaws inspired crafts and recipes this month.

Summertime Ocean Water Punch

Makes 2 gallons

Ingredients

  • 1 2 liter Sprite soda
  • 3 quart size bottles of blue colored {different shades} juice drinks {Gatorade Powerade, Koolaid, etc}
  • gummy fruit sharks optional

Instructions

  • Working in batches, add juice to a couple ice cube trays and freeze.
  • Add ice cubes to freezer safe baggies and then repeat with remaining different color juice until all the ice cubes are made and separated into 3 different baggies.
  • When you are ready to serve, add your ice in layers to your drink container.
  • I add the dark color first and end with the lightest, like the ocean.
  • Pour the entire bottle of Sprite over the ice cubes.
  • To serve, pour into clear glasses and add gummy fruit sharks on top.

For this recipe you will need 3 different blue shades of juice.
I used Gatorade but any brand and flavor you like will work.

On the last Monday of each month, a group of bloggers participate in a #MovieMondayChallenge, hosted by C’mon Get Crafty! We decide on a topic, genre, or specific movie to use for inspiration and everyone gets free reign to create something wonderful!

Now let’s see what everyone else was inspired to create for this month’s #MovieMondayChallenge: JAWS !!
