DIY Sequin Christmas Ornaments

I was lucky enough to attend the USO Spouses Craft Day this month and I learned how to make these sequin ornaments.

The metallic sequins are so pretty and I was quite proud of my creation {and my patience}! I’ve included the photos and instructions below so you can make your own. 

It was a tedious process but I love the end result. Also enjoying some kid free me time with fellow military spouses made it an enjoyable experience.

What you need:

• White foam balls
• 1 pkg Multicolored round metallic sequins {I used 10 mm}
• 1 pkg glass seed beads {clear or light color}
• 1 pkg pins
• ribbon
• glue

Directions: 

1. Pour sequins and seed beads into a small bowl.
2. Take one pin and thread on {or it may be easier to “scoop” up} a seed bead from the bowl.
3. Add a sequin on top of the bead then slide the pin into the ball. You can make decorative rows, shapes, or just make it multicolored all over as I did.
4. Repeat with all the sequins until the entire ball is covered. 
5. Cut a piece of ribbon your desired length to hang your ornament.
6. Glue both ends of the ribbon to the top of the ornament to make a loop.
7. I also glued one a sheer ribbon bow in front of the ribbon loop.
8. Let dry then hang your pretty creation from your Christmas tree. 

You need a full pack of the 10 mm metallic sequins to make this ornament.

You want to cover it completely. You can make rows of colors, shapes, or multicolored all over like I did.
