“Autumn seemed to arrive suddenly that year. The morning of 1st September was crisp and golden as an apple.” – J.K Rowling

Fall has always been my favorite season and I am so very ready for all things fall including hot chocolate and pumpkin flavored everything!

I love the flavor combo of chocolate and pumpkin for fall and this new drink creation is perfectly decadent and delicious for enjoying during the cooler weather!

Ava made this recipe and treated us to these delicious drinks.

My girl sure is a chef in the making!

I experimented a few times until I got the perfect decadent fall hot chocolate.

This combo of six ingredients was the perfect recipe!

Ava loves to help and this recipe was so easy she could make the whole thing herself!

In a medium saucepan add milk, pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, and brown sugar.

Heat over medium low and stir until completely combined.

Bring to a low simmer, stirring often, then add chocolate chips.

Continue to heat and stir until chocolate completely melts.

This recipe makes two full mugs.

Pour into 2 mugs and top with whipped cream.

I like to sprinkle on a bit more pumpkin pie spice (or you could use cinnamon sugar)

on top and even add a cinnamon stick for a festive addition.

These girls loved their chocolatey drink! Smiles all around!

“Life is sweeter with chocolate.”

Happy Pumpkin Season!

Such a simple and delicious recipe for pumpkin hot chocolate. Looking forward to more chilly nights around the firepit to serve this drink – so warm and comforting. I would not have thought to combine pumpkin and chocolate – but the combo is really special.

I love the sound of a pumpkin spice hot chocolate although it’s not something I’ve found yet here in the UK.
