This post and recipe was created for #HalloweenTreatsWeek! I was sent samples by some of the sponsor companies but as always opinions are 100% mine.

Muahhhhhh! I’ve got a bag o’ bones for ya!
My kids loved making these Bag of Bones Scary Snacks even more than I did. They are the perfect bite size treats for a goodie bag or party table. Plus how stinkin’ cute are they?!

Happy Halloween! We hope you’re ready for a spooktacular event as we celebrate Halloween with the first annual #HalloweenTreatsWeek event hosted by Angie from Big Bear’s Wife. This haunting week-long event is filled with fantastic Halloween treats, recipes and some frightfully fun giveaways.
“When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers ‘tis near Halloween.”

Image may contain: one or more people, text and foodFor our very first #HalloweenTreatsWeek event we have 30 talented bloggers that are sharing their favorite Halloween recipes throughout the week! There are going to be over 100 Halloween themed recipes shared during this year’s #HalloweenTreatsWeek and we can’t wait for you to see them all! Plus, don’t forget that we have 5 (five) great giveaways for you this week thanks to our amazing sponsors! Scroll down to take a look!

Ingredients:

Makes approx 40 bones

  • 80 mini marshmallows
  • 40 mini pretzel sticks
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips, melted

Directions:

  1. Press a mini marshmallow on the ends of a mini pretzel stick. Set aside and repeat until all bones are made.
  2. Melt the chocolate until smooth then using a fork dip the bones in, coating entirely.
  3. Tap off excess and set on a sheet of parchment paper to dry.
  4. When they are dry, gently peel off  and break off any larger pieces of white chocolate.
  5. Place on a Halloween plate to serve or in a clear treat bag to make Bag of Bones treats.

My girls got a kick out of making these bite size treats-
and sneaking marshmallows every chance they got!

Your toddler can help too! It’s great for practicing fine motor skills.

Press a mini marshmallow on the ends of a mini pretzel stick.

Set aside and repeat until all bones are made.

Melt the white chocolate until smooth.

Using a fork, dip the bones in.

Spoon chocolate on top, coating entirely.

Tap off excess and set on a sheet of parchment paper to dry.

When they are dry, gently peel off  and break off any larger pieces of white chocolate on the bones.

Place on a Halloween plate to serve or in a clear treat bag to make Bag of Bones treats.

After cruising down Route 66 last week we decided to make a pit stop for lunch at this one of a kind spot located on Kingsley Air Field: 🛩️ Hangar Kafe.
We watched planes take off, pet the friendly local pups, checked out the vintage cars on display, and then went inside the cozy themed restaurant and enjoyed a tasty home-cooked diner style meal. Highly recommend checking them out!
Bonus: skydiving and hot air balloon rides are offered next door!
