  • ¼ cup honey roasted peanuts crushed
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  • Use an apple corer to remove core and slice both apples.
  • Arrange the slices in a circle on two dessert plates.
  • Warm the caramel in the microwave for 15 second intervals , stirring in between, until smooth.
  • Add a couple spoonfuls of caramel in the center of the apple slices.
  • Drizzle more caramel all over the top.

Notes

I used two varieties of apples for color and taste. I like Gala and Granny Smith.

Apples and caramel. Who can think of a better fall dessert combo, right?

I love this pumpkin spice caramel dip by Lighthouse and it was perfect for my sliced apple blossoms.

Honey roasted spice peanuts are delicious sprinkled on top of caramel apples.

Use an apple corer to remove core and slice both apples.

Arrange apple slices in a circle on two dessert plates.

Warm the caramel in the microwave in 15 second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.

Add a couple spoonfuls of caramel in the center of the apple slices.

Drizzle more caramel over the top and sprinkle on crushed peanuts.

Add a couple dollops of whipped cream on either side of the plate.

Serve right away and enjoy.

I snuck the caramel cups to work so I could have some caramel apple afternoon treats. Sprinkled with nuts? Added protein and healthy fats?

After cruising down Route 66 last week we decided to make a pit stop for lunch at this one of a kind spot located on Kingsley Air Field: 🛩️ Hangar Kafe.
We watched planes take off, pet the friendly local pups, checked out the vintage cars on display, and then went inside the cozy themed restaurant and enjoyed a tasty home-cooked diner style meal. Highly recommend checking them out!
Bonus: skydiving and hot air balloon rides are offered next door!
