With Christmas right around the corner, I am always thinking of new food and gift ideas.
I love to use my Crock-Pot all year long but especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas. So I decided to make a big batch of spicy crackers to serve as a snack this Thanksgiving and then package up as gifts for my family. Toasting these crackers in the Crock-Pot not only saved time but also made the room smell amazing! I call these delicious snacks Fire Crackers!

Check out the recipe video here.

Crock-Pot Fire Crackers

Makes a large bowl full

Ingredients

  • 7 oz box Cheez-Its crackers
  • 11 oz box Mini Saltines crackers {I used 3/4}
  • 11 oz box Mini Butter crackers {I used 3/4}
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire
  • 1 tbsp Tabasco

Instructions

  • Coat the inside of a Crock-Pot with nonstick spray.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together Worcestershire, Tabasco. and seasonings.
  • Pour the crackers in the Crock-Pot and pour the mixture on top of the crackers.
  • Drizzle with the melted butter. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Cover and cook on low for 1 1/2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes for even cooking and to prevent burning.
  • Pour into a bowl and serve warm or at room temp.

Notes

*I have also used Tony Chachere's Cajun Seasoning or Old Bay Seasoning in place of the spices.

For these Fire Crackers you can use just about any cracker or cereal you like. Mini pretzels, goldfish, and nuts would also be tasty. I chose my daughter’s favorite club crackers and then added cheese crackers and saltines.
Coat the inside of a Crock-Pot with nonstick spray.
Pour the crackers in the Crock-Pot.
In a small bowl, whisk together Worcestershire, Tabasco. and seasonings.
Pour the mixture on top of the crackers.
Now drizzle with the melted butter.
Toss to coat evenly.
Cover and cook on low for 1 1/2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes for
even cooking and to prevent burning.
Pour into a bowl and serve warm or at room temp.

Serve on game day or holidays.
You can also package and give as gifts!

I had this for the first time over the summer while in Alaska, it was so good. Very easy to throw together.

I think my husband would love this. Might be a tad bit spicy for our kids. Oh well – more for us!

This sounds like my kind of snack! I never in a million years would have thought they were made in the slow cooker — how cool! I might be making these this weekend ;0

🍽 Yesterday we enjoyed lunch at NCAL+H2O, an upscale seafood gem of a restaurant in downtown Rolla. It was a delicious meal and everything this Florida girl has been craving!
🐟 We started with an order of amazing Tuna Poke Nachos then shared a Grilled Shrimp Club sandwich with fries and a tasty salad with house garlic parm dressing. We couldn't stop there so we also split a bowl of cioppino, which was chock full of fresh seafood. Next time I want to try their Parmesan Halibut or Seafood Pasta!
❤ If you are looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate an anniversary or have a quiet date night (or day date like us) check out @saltwaterrollamo !
⭐ Lunch was courtesy of @rolladowntown. I was a winner of $100 in downtown dollars in their Tis the Season of Giving contest!

We ordered ramen, bi bim bap, and lo mein from a local Asian restaurant called Noodle 21. It was delish! Check them out if you are in the area and send me a message if you want a referral for $5 off to try #doordash ! @noodle21branson #eatlocal #branson #takeoutfood #whatsfordinner
