DIY Patriotic Princess Crowns

My little princesses love dressing up so for the 4th of July this year we did a Patriotic Princess photo shoot and made our own crowns to wear.

These DIY princess crowns are made in minutes with garland and ribbon and are a fun craft to make this summer!

Photos by Red,White & You Photography .

What you need:

  • curling ribbon in red, white, and blue
  • star garland, printed or multiple colors like blue, silver, and red
  • wire cutters
  • scissors

Directions:

  1. Start by wrapping garland around your princess’ head to make it the correct size.
  2. Twist the end of the garland to form a circle crown.
  3. I continue to wrap garland 3 more times to make it thicker and sturdier.
  4. Cut the garland with wire cutters, being sure to tightly wrap the end pieces so they do not poke out.
  5. Since I used multiple colors of garland, I then wrapped a circle of blue and a circle of red into the crown.
  6. Next, knot 6-9 strands of multiple colors of ribbon to the back and use scissors to curl the ends.
  7. Optional: Ava added a clip on princess bow to the back of hers.

All you need for these pretty crowns are wire star garland and ribbon! Anyone can make them!

Happy 4th of July little princesses!

My Stella as Elsa is magical!

Ava as Princess Elena.

This dress was a $2 after Halloween clearance find and I love it!

A moment of calm for my wild child!

My sweet and thoughtful Ava.

We spent Earth Day 2022 in Springfield at the picnic and a movie event in the gardens. It was the perfect sunny afternoon with a breeze and we shared a delicious charcuterie picnic and watched "Bee Movie". The girls did crafts, played in the park, listened to speakers and poetry, and @theparkboard gave us a tree to take home. We had a great time and everyone slept the whole drive home (except Mom)! #earthday2022 #springfieldmo #missourilife #movienight #earthday #picnic #familyfun
