Today I wanted to share a fun craft and tasty snack that both use new Go & Grow by Similac Pouches! We made these too cute for words Upcycled Princess Crowns out of – you guessed it- our Go & Grow by Similac empty food pouches! Stella Rose eats these pouches like they are going out of style so instead of just throwing them away I decided to wash them, cut them down, and use them as the base for DIY colorful crowns. Check out the easy instructions below!

This post was developed in partnership with Similac. All opinions are my own.
My always on the go toddler, Stella Rose, has a new favorite snack: Go & Grow by Similac Pouches and she requests them by name!  I bought a few different flavors of these pouches at Walmart for my toddler to try. I like the convenience of these pouches for her
to have for snacks and meals at the park, pool, and when we travel.
I love that they are nutritious and each serving includes OptiGro and over 25 vitamins and minerals for my growing girl!
Go & Grow by Similac Pouches are the only toddler fruit and veggie puree pouches with OptiGRO, a brain- and eye-nourishing blend of DHA, Lutein, and Vitamin E in forms similar to common foods.
Each pouch has 3-4 servings of combined fruits and veggies or 1/3 the daily recommended servings for your toddler.

Available at Walmart!

Find Go & Grow by Similac pouches at Walmart here.
Order online or find in stores in the baby food aisle.

 DIY Upcycled Princess Crowns

What You Need:

  • 4 Go & Grow by Similac pouches
  • Colorful card stock paper
  • elastic string
  • hole punch
  • hot glue gun
  • scissors

Directions:

  1. Once your toddler eats their Go & Grow by Similac pouches, cut off the tops under the spout {about the middle of the pouch} and discard.
  2. Rinse out the pouches and let dry.
  3. Using a hold punch, punch a hole on either side of the base of each pouch.
  4. Measure out elastic string {depending on how you want it to fit the kids} and knot a piece of elastic through both holes, making a secure strap.
  5.
  6. You can also trim down the pouch if you want it to be shorter, depending on the height you want for your crown.
  7. Cut a piece of card stock to fit folded around the width of the pouch, covering completely.
  8. Add hot glue to the back side of the card stock and gently press onto the pouch, smoothing down evenly.
  9. Cut triangle points on the top to make a crown.
  10. Optional: glue on jewels, rickrack, and glitter to make your crowns even fancier!
  11. Repeat with remaining pouches and watch your kiddos have a blast with their new princess crowns!

My kiddo loves her pouches and eats them just about every day!
Once they are empty I reserve four to make this craft.
Cut off the tops under the spout {about the middle of the pouch} and discard.
Rinse out the pouches and let dry.
Using a hold punch, punch a hole on either side of the base of each pouch.
Measure out elastic string {depending on how you want it to fit the kids} and knot a piece of elastic through both holes, making a secure strap.
You can also trim down the pouch if you want it to be shorter, depending on the height you want for your crown.
Cut a piece of card stock to fit.
Add hot glue to the back side of the card stock.
Fold around the width of the pouch, covering completely.
Gently press onto the pouch, smoothing down evenly.
Cut triangle points on the top to make a crown.
Optional: glue on jewels, rickrack, and glitter to make your crowns even fancier!
The pouch bases stand up perfect!
The finished craft is perfect for a princess {or prince}!
I just love how they turned out- and so do my kids.
This would be a fun craft for a kids’ party or rainy day project too.
You would never guess what these are made out of unless you look inside!
Cute as can be in her new pink princess crown!
“Roar! I’m a princess”, says my funny girl!
My little model Ava tried on every color!
If Stella’s happy so is big sister Ava!
She may sneak a few sips of Stella’s pouches every now and then too!
Nothing sweeter than the love of a sister.

Love it! I don't think daddy would appreciate me putting Oliver in a pretty princess crown, but I'm excited to have O try the Go&Grow pouches! Thanks for the post!

After cruising down Route 66 last week we decided to make a pit stop for lunch at this one of a kind spot located on Kingsley Air Field: 🛩️ Hangar Kafe.
We watched planes take off, pet the friendly local pups, checked out the vintage cars on display, and then went inside the cozy themed restaurant and enjoyed a tasty home-cooked diner style meal. Highly recommend checking them out!
Bonus: skydiving and hot air balloon rides are offered next door!
