My kids and I love Christmas movies this time of year and one of our favorites is The Grinch. We like the cartoon, the movie, the book and the girls never seem to get tired of it!

So every year we make a new Grinch themed craft or recipe together to start off the holiday season.

This year we made Grinch Handprint Stockings. Make this fun Christmas Grinch craft with your kids in minutes with just a few basic craft supplies from the dollar store!

Scroll down for the details.

What you need:

  • Fabric Stockings
  • Green acrylic paint
  • foam brushes
  • black sharpie marker

Directions:

  1. Pour green paint onto a pallet or paper plate.
  2. Using a foam brush paint the inside of your child’s hand thoroughly with the green paint.
  3. Press their painted hand onto a fabric stocking. We used both red and white stockings ad it showed up fine.
  4. Let dry then using a marker draw a grinch face on each handprint. You can also write “Merry Grinchmas” or another Grinch inspired message.
  5. Hang up as decorations or fill with goodies as a Grinch themed gift {maybe movie snacks and the DVD?}.

My messy Stella monster!

Ava’s the happiest when she’s crafting!

The cutest little Grinch around!

Doing her best sneaky and mean Grinch impression!

“It came without ribbons, it came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags.

Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.” -The Grinch
