Print Recipe

Hocus Pocus Cauldron Fondue

Ingredients

For the Fondue

  • 12 oz White chocolate roughly chopped
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp Adam's natural green food coloring
  • 1 tbsp Halloween sprinkles for topping (I used Sweets and Treats)
  • 2 large candy eyeballs for topping (I used Wilton)
  • 4 zombie candy arms and hands for topping (I used Wilton)

For the dippers

  • 1 plate of Milano cookies made into tombstones, Oreo cookie spiders, sliced fruit such as green apples and kiwi, and pumpkin marshmallows.

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, add white chocolate and cream and heat over low heat.
  • Whisk constantly until melted and smooth.
  • Stir in food coloring.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add to a fondue pot. Or try a large glass bowl inside a decorative cauldron pot like I did.
  • Top with sprinkles and candy eyeballs and zombie arms.
  • Serve warm immediately with a platter of dippers and fondue forks.

For The Love of Food Blog

To start the fondue: I roughly chopped 3 4oz white chocolate bars.

Add white chocolate and cream to a medium saucepan and heat over low.
Whisk constantly until melted and smooth.

Stir in green food coloring.

Remove from heat then add to a fondue pot {or bowl}.

I added my fondue to a large glass bowl and fit it inside of a decorative cauldron for serving.

I used my black Wilton icing to turn Milano cookies into tombstones for dipping!

Themed dippers are the best! I made Oreo cookie spiders, Milano cookie tombstones, and added pumpkin shaped marshmallows, and zombie fingers.

Some items, like the marshmallows, can be dipped using a fondue fork. Others, like the cookies are better on a plate with fondue spooned on top.

The perfect Friday treat for my little Halloween lovers!

Fondue is perfect for serving a crowd. You can serve it in a electric fondue pot or slow cooker on warm for an hour or so.

Already loving this idea (though the fingers made me gulp (I’m a scaredycat!) — then I saw the photo of your little Halloween lover in the blue tee and WOW! She’s precious and this is too much fun. Party entertainment = Party food,. Wonderful!
