Happy St Patrick’s Day!

This coffee drink was a colorful creation made by my husband for this fun holiday! He is the best at creating coffee drinks at home and since we are all quarantined for St Patrick’s Day this year he surprised me with this tasty green latte. Find the recipe below and make your own today!

Lucky Charms Shamrock Latte

Ingredients

  • 8 oz hot brewed coffee
  • 1/2- 2/3 cups milk
  • 3-5 drops green gel food coloring
  • 2 tbsp Lucky Charms marshmallows

Instructions

  • Heat milk in the microwave for 1 minute.
  • Whisk until frothy.
  • Stir in green food coloring.
  • Pour into a coffee mug.
  • Brew coffee right into the mug {or pour hot coffee on top of milk in the mug}.
  • The colors will separate and create layers.

Heat milk in the microwave for 1 minute until warmed.

Add a few drops of green food coloring. Gel color works best.

Whisk or use a frother like me until the milk is frothy and green.

Pour milk into a mug then brew coffee right into the mug.

The colors with separate and make layers.

I buy a special box of Lucky Charms cereal every year for my kids on St Patrick’s Day.

I separated out a couple tablespoons of marshmallows to top my coffee.

Add the festive marshmallows on top.

Serve hot and enjoy your festive drink!

We spent Earth Day 2022 in Springfield at the picnic and a movie event in the gardens. It was the perfect sunny afternoon with a breeze and we shared a delicious charcuterie picnic and watched "Bee Movie". The girls did crafts, played in the park, listened to speakers and poetry, and @theparkboard gave us a tree to take home. We had a great time and everyone slept the whole drive home (except Mom)! #earthday2022 #springfieldmo #missourilife #movienight #earthday #picnic #familyfun
