Pink Lemonade is our go to summertime drink so I thought I would make these fun crinkle cake cookies inspired by our summertime fave. Ava helped me swirl the colors and the end result was the softest and tastiest lemon flavored cookie EVER!
Give these Swirled Pink Lemonade Cake Cookies  a try and you will love this summertime treat too!
Scroll down for the recipe and to see our sweet Lemonade and Cookies photo shoot from Down the Rhode Photography.

My little loves spent a fun afternoon last week enjoying some lemonade and cookies in downtown Leesville. My new friend {and mucho talented photographer}, Deanna from Down the Rhode Photography captured some sweet shots!
These two keep me one my toes- and smiling- every day!
How cute is this easy lemonade stand set up Deanna made?
They were no longer interested in smiling for pics once they spotted the food.
They are so my children!
Ava loves cookies. Just like her Mama!
I found this free printable Lemonade sign here.
These fun colorful cookies were the perfect addition to the lemonade stand.
My curly haired cutie!
Cookies

Ingredients:

Makes 18 cookies
  • 1 pkg. Duncan Hines Lemon Supreme cake mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • juice from 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • pink icing coloring {brighter than food coloring}, as needed

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl add cake mix, eggs, oil, lemon juice, and zest.
  3. Mix until combined.
  4. Add a few drops of pink icing coloring and swirl to combined slightly. You can use traditional food coloring I just like how bright the icing coloring is.
  5. Roll dough into tablespoon size balls and drop into a bowl of powdered sugar.
  6. Roll them around until they’re lightly covered.
  7. Place them in rows on a lined cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 6-7 minutes.
  9.  The bottoms will be light brown, and the insides chewy.

Cake mix cookies are a favorite of mine! They are extra soft and delicious!
Even better they are super simple to make!
To make these lemonade flavored cookies I added fresh lemon zest and juice to the lemon cake mix.
Mama’s little helper is always there to mix, scoop, and taste test!
In a large bowl add cake mix, eggs, oil, lemon juice, and zest.
Mix until combined.
Add a few drops of pink icing coloring and swirl to combined slightly.
You can use traditional food coloring I just like how bright the icing coloring is.
Roll dough into tablespoon size balls.
Drop into a bowl of powdered sugar.
Roll them around until they’re lightly covered.
Messy fun!
Place them in rows on a lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 6-7 minutes at 375 degrees.
The bottoms will be light brown, and the insides chewy.
The perfect swirled, crinkle cookie!

We spent Earth Day 2022 in Springfield at the picnic and a movie event in the gardens. It was the perfect sunny afternoon with a breeze and we shared a delicious charcuterie picnic and watched "Bee Movie". The girls did crafts, played in the park, listened to speakers and poetry, and @theparkboard gave us a tree to take home. We had a great time and everyone slept the whole drive home (except Mom)! #earthday2022 #springfieldmo #missourilife #movienight #earthday #picnic #familyfun
