Ultimate Unicorn Milkshakes #SummerDessertWeek

This post and recipe was created for #SummerDessertWeek! I was sent samples by some of the sponsor companies but as always opinions are 100% mine.
 Today I am sharing my last recipe for #SummerDessertWeek: Ultimate Unicorn Milkshakes!
These colorful drinks are the ultimate cool treat to enjoy this summer! They are truly a sight to see and so fun to make!

Making unicorn milkshakes was such a blast with my girls. This easy recipe is ideal for letting the kids help out in the kitchen. My girls loved blending up our shake, decorating the glass, and adding toppings....almost as much as they loved eating it all!

Makes 2 large shakes
  • 5 scoops pink ice cream {I used Cherry Chocolate Chunk}
  • 1 cup fresh fruit such as strawberries or raspberries, chopped
  • ½ cup French Vanilla creamer {or milk}
  • ¼ cup hot pink frosting
  • variety of unicorn sprinkles {I used Wilton and Sweets and Treats brands}
  • whipped cream, for topping
  • toppings like lollipops, cotton candy, colored marshmallows, nerds candy ropes, and wafer cookies

  1. Add ice cream, fruit, and French Vanilla creamer to a blender.
  2.  Blend until smooth.
  3. Add a layer of pink frosting around the rim of both glasses.
  4. Roll the frosting coated rims in decorative sprinkles until completely covered.
  5. Pour the milkshake into the cups.
  6.  Top both with whipped cream.
  7. Now the fun part! Decorate your shakes with more colorful sprinkles, marshmallows, cookies, lollipops, cotton candy, and any other treat you think is delish.
  8. Add a straw and drink up!

Adapted from Sugarhero.

Start by adding 5 large scoops of pink ice cream to a blender.
I used Cherry Chocolate Chunk.
Now add half a cup of French Vanilla creamer {or use milk}.
Finally add 1 cup of chopped fruit. I used strawberries.
Blend until smooth.
Add a layer of pink frosting around the rim of both glasses.
 Roll the frosting coated rims in decorative sprinkles until completely covered.
 Pour the milkshake into the cups.
 Fill to the top then get ready to decorate!
First top with whipped cream then add your favorite colorful toppings.
Stella loved adding lots of sprinkles.
We added cotton candy, colorful marshmallows, wafer cookies,
Nerds ropes, and a unicorn horn lollipop!
 Stella's last birthday party was a unicorn party and this treat was perfect for her special day!
 Add a straw {ours was candy coated because why not?} and drink up!
 Look at those faces! They are clearly excited to dig in!
