Christmas dinner was a breeze this year with this 3 Ingredient Crock-Pot Roasted Turkey. It is my go to family dinner recipe now when we are entertaining! I seasoned ours with barbecue seasoning and cooked it all day until it was fall off the bone tender. Bonus: even after dinner we had enough leftovers for lunch and dinner the next day, so I added it to Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwiches and a hearty casserole.

3 Ingredient Crock-Pot Roasted Turkey

Ingredients

  • 1 bone-in turkey breast {6-9lbs} defrosted
  • 2 tbsp barbecue seasoning
  • 32 oz container chicken or turkey broth

Instructions

  • Remove the turkey breast from the packaging and pat dry.
  • Place in a large Crock-pot and pour in the container of broth.
  • Sprinkle the barbecue seasoning all over top and sides of turkey, rubbing to cover.
  • Place lid on top and cook on low for 6-7 hours {high for 5 hours}.
  • When done cooking remove lid and using two forks gently lift out the meat onto a cutting board.
  • Carve the turkey meat and discard the bones.
  • Serve warm with all the fixins'.

Notes

The turkey breast I use comes with a package of turkey gravy.
I mix 1/2 a cup of turkey drippings from the Crock-pot into the gravy mix and simmer until thick.

I use an 8lb skin on, bone in, turkey breast for this recipe.
Pat dry then place in a large Crock-pot.
Pour in a container of broth.
I love using flavorful seasoning blends.
This Southern style BBQ seasoning is from Central Market and is my fave!
Sprinkle the barbecue seasoning all over.
Rub on the top and sides of turkey.
Place lid on top and cook on low for 6-7 hours {high for 5 hours}.
Your house will smell amazing and it’s barely any work at all!
This turkey literally falls off the bone.
When done cooking remove lid and using two forks gently lift out the meat onto a cutting board.

Well, we made it 8 years with my wild child with no broken bones...until skate night last night. Stella has a small fracture on her finger and had to get a splint at the hospital today. But in true Stella fashion, it is not slowing her down! #wildchild #mamasgirl #brokenbone #bravegirl #wildone
