Today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite fast and fresh side dishes: Asian Stir-fry Green Beans. Cooked in a wok, they are first blanched then stir-fried with garlic, sesame oil, and teriyaki sauce. They are vibrant, crisp, healthy, and delicious… just like another one of my favorites: Healthy Choice Café Steamers.  These meals are my go-to option for a delicious, fresh and filling meal on a busy weekday lunch or dinner.
With 100 percent natural proteins and absolutely no artificial ingredients, Healthy Choice Café Steamers are the first and only meals featuring a tray-in-tray steam cooking method that separates ingredients during heating to unlock freshness you can see and taste.

There are over a dozen Healthy Choice Café Steamers meals, all with less than 310 calories and more than 18 grams of 100-percent natural protein. Even better, since the ingredients aren’t frozen in the sauce they have a fresh, more vibrant taste.

All Healthy Choice meals are made with real ingredients and no preservatives so you don’t have to worry about sacrificing taste or freshness. Find Healthy Choice Café Steamers in the freezer aisle at grocery stores nationwide for the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $3.29.

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic pressed

Instructions

  • You will need a wok or large skillet to stir fry.
  • I like to blanch my veggies first to keep their bright color but this is optional.
  • Fill your wok with enough water to cover the beans. Bring to a boil over med high heat.
  • Add green beans and cook for 30 seconds then remove to a large bowl filled with ice water.
  • Now empty the water from the wok and add sesame oil.
  • Add the beans and stir fry, tossing occasionally for 3 minutes.

  • Remove to a serving platter and serve hot.
  • If you like your beans softer, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes before adding the sauce and garlic.

Healthy Choice Café Steamers in Pineapple Chicken and Beef Teriyaki
go great with these Asian Stir-fry Green Beans.
With each meal containing a mix of vitamins, nutrients and protein, Healthy Choice Café Steamers are a healthy and convenient option, whether at work, home or on the go.
I used a large bag of green beans from the market for this recipe.
Wash then trim and remove the ends.
Heat water to a boil in a large wok or skillet.
Fill a large bowl with ice water.
Once the water in the wok boils, add the beans and boil the beans for 30 seconds.

remove to a large bowl filled with ice water.

Now empty the water from the wok and add sesame oil.

Add the beans and stir fry, tossing occasionally for 3 minutes.

Add 2 cloves garlic. I used my garlic press but you could also finely dice.

Add 2 tbsp teriyaki sauce, tossing to coat.
Cook for another minute.
The Healthy Choice Café Steamers take about 4 minutes each to cook in the microwave.
Then you simply toss in the sauce in the bowl and dinner is ready!
Remove to a serving platter and serve hot.
A fast and tasty Asian inspired meal made in about 10 minutes!
I enjoyed the Pineapple Chicken meal.
Mom tried the Beef Teriyaki.
Both were flavorful, filling, and, of course, healthy.
I love the crisp veggies and juicy meat.
Serve this side dish with any Asian inspired recipe you like or check out one of over a dozen Healthy Choice Café Steamers meals available at your local grocery store.
